We all know Sirius is his godfather, but does Harry have a godmother, and who would it be if he does??

I don't think he does, and if he did (assuming it was important to know who she is ..) we would know who she is.., but personally I don't believe he has one

Maybe he has one but it isn't time for him to know. How many people actually knew that Sirius was Harry's godfather? How many? And how many know that HArry has a godmother. Possibly Figg is his godmother. But I doubt it. Cause someone would know and Harry would go to her. And I doubt JK will add another relation to a family member. I think she just put godfather so Harry could have a male influence. He has Mrs.Weasley already as a female influence motherly type. And Arthur doesn't exactly help Harry feel like Arthur is his father. He talked to HArry but was all blah. I doubt that Harry has a godmother. MAybe some unknown family member. Someone must be related and is not telling HArry or noone knows, not even the person who is related to him.

If Harry were to have a godmother, then we would know about it. Unless his godmother is locked in a prison cell and unable to write him a letter...

I don't have a godmother or godfather. Harry probaly just doesn't have one. Or maybe it's Lupin
. It seems werid that they chose only Sirius as the godfather, Lupin must have felt left out.

If Lupin was a Godfather, then what about Pettigrew? He would feel left out too.
I doubt that Harry would have any other godparents unless they are unknown or else he would be living with them instead of the Dursleys. |

Logic suggests that Harry would have a Godmother as well as a Godfather. It's highly unusual to appoint one person to the position without having a matching, female equivalent...then again the Potters may have been an unusual family.
It should be noted that families who appoint Godparents usually appoint two sets. Perhaps Harry has another Godfather and two more Godmothers out there that he doesn't know about? P.S. I don't care to speculate who Harry's potential Godrelatives are. I couldn't even fathom a guess.

I don't think Harry's parents have other closed friend as Sirius whom is a woman so, they didn't get godmother for Harry unless, JKR introduces in the future book as a surprise.

He probably doesn't have a godmother. I wouldn't be surprised by that. I have one godfather, one godmother, and two godmothers unofficially. The god parents to your children are supposed to be your closest friend or relative. Sirius was James's best friend, and he probably considered Lily a close and dear friend as well. If Sirius had his name cleared and was to marry, than perhaps then Harry would have a godmother... but that's not the case.

Usually the Godmother and Godfather are a married couple. So if Sirius ever gets married, his wife would most likely become Harry's Godmother.

Aww that's so sweet. Sirius getting his name cleared and getting married. I hope we can see that some day.

I agree with whoever said that if he had a Godfather, he is suposed to have a Godmother too.... Besides, My Godmother is so much older than my Godfather...so, I don't think it really matters ![]() |

He doesn't have to have a godmother... does he? It's just tradition to have both a godmother and father.

Perhaps we should ask Evelyn for an expert opinion...
