That episode was better than I'd expected. I was afraid the switch to college would screw things up, but they did it really well. Dick made me really mad. I probably would have felt bad for him, if he hadn't been so horrible to Mac. I don't get why everyone's been going on about how loveable Piz is. I just found him annoying (plus he looked like the main guy in High School Musical, which was really distracting. Yes, I know I'm a loser for thinking that, but regardless...) By the way can you say King of the Awkward Transition? That was just horrible. Out of nowhere, "So was that guy your boyfriend?" I loved how Veronica just looked baffled.

I really do hope Piz gets more likable. Right now he's just kind of ... "oh, yeah, that kid." He's a good friend for Wallace I think, but as for the purported rival to Logan thing... I'm just not seeing it right now.

I wanted more Logan! But I always want more Logan.

I'd get into the spoilerish stuff, but I don't want to note it and have people ignore the warning. Seriously, I'm just being lazy.

Oh, to introduce myself to this thread... I adore this show. I have Seasons 1 & 2 on DVD. I've even got my parents into it. Whenever something remotely similar to it is mentioned I always say, "Oh, have you ever seen Veronica Mars." I'm spreading the word.

I just want Season 3!!!

The Logan/Logan(as Charlie, apparently) thing is gonna crack me up.

They released the first episode a week early on the internet and you could download it, which is how I got a copy.

The only bad thing about that was that I have to wait two weeks for the second episode

I didn't mind Piz, it's always hard to know what you think about a character after just one episode. I prefer to give them a handful of episodes simply to scope out their character. I did love his not so subtle remark about Veronica having a boyfriend though

Ditto on Piz.

He's likeable, IMO, just not as much as they were acting. Veronica's hesitence when he asked about Logan-as-boyfriend wasn't believable to me; I don't buy him as charming enough to lure her away from Logan, not at this stage.

If something else were to drive them apart (say his fierce loyalty to Dick vs. her fierce loyalty to make), I could see him becoming the character she falls to absently for comfort. But right now, that's it.

Otherwise, I loved it. Tim Foyle as a foil for Veronica was clever, IMO, and I bet he'll be useful down the line. I loved Parker -- captured that annoying/endearing mixture perfectly. Her line about Mac as a toy dog to carry around in her purse was hilarious. I feel really bad for her, and I'll bet Veronica, who walked right in on it without realizing, does too.

Well Veronica and Logan will inevitably break up simply because they are more entertaining apart than they are together, mostly because Logan is a better character when he's sarcastic and bitter.

In the end he may not need to be charming enough to lure away, simply there when Logan manages to drive her away

Parker will be interesting. I suspect that she will be rather different from what we saw in the opening episode due to the drastic character development that occurred at the end of the episode. I would've enjoyed her as an almost female version of Dick but it'll be interesting to see what they make of her character now that everything has changed.

Although I'm a LoVe fan, I'll have to agree, sooner or later something/someone will drive them apart. I suspect it would be Dick.

Who else likes the new intro? I think it looked great!

Also enjoyed Parker's character. I wouldn't want to have her as a roommate but she's fun to watch.

I loved the new intro! It really emphasized the noir aspect of the show.

I liked this episode much better than last year's premiere. I think Piz is okay but I agree with whoever said he looks like the kid from High School Musical. Maybe it's his older brother? Hehe.

I really liked the premiere. Piz is okay. He hasn’t really grown on me. I have to wonder what Dick has gotten himself into. I like the new intro. I like how they slowed down the song. I can’t wait to see Veronica trying to get into a sorority. I’m sure that’s a sight many would pay to see. LOL.

Sororities are very un-Veronica like, I cannot see her actually joining one unless its actually a requirement of US universities. I can see her joining or attempting to join one for a job though

WHen Piz showed up, I was just thinking... How many grades did this little kid pass? I don't think he is going to be a love interest for Veronica.

I think Logan giving Veronica a key + Dick staying there, is going to be the end of LoVe.

I was surprised by Keith's not being able to see through that Fitzpatrick (??) guy. As soon as he started talking I was like, Lookout Keith!

As far as I know, it's definitely NOT a requirement. Some places its very pressureful...that's not even A WORD!... erm... At some colleges a lot of gals/guys feel sort of forced to join sororities/fraternities, I can think of a few I know of with a 85-90% rate of the student body in one. Then there are some places that don't even have them. It's really just like another extra-curricular activity... do it if you want to, whatever.

BUT.. back on topic... yes... I don't see Veronica joining a sorority at all. It seems to go against her philosophy on life, which seems to be trust no one except Keith. But, pretending? Very Veronica-like, indeed!

Is the rape investigation one of the season's main mysteries or is it just for the first few episodes?

I agree with Taleeya about Liam's brother. Once he started questions about Kendall's money, Keith should have started getting suspicious.

I think Keith felt too guilty to keep any of the money. He'd probably want to catch Liam though to make up for messing up (though it wasn't exactly his fault).
