Good Day Everyone,

I'm sorry to say that CoS Forums is going to shut down in the Summer, sometime around July. This isn't an early April Fools joke either.

The Forums have become quite expensive to run and manage. There's a lot (LOT) less traffic coming to the site these days as Harry Potter becomes less of a topical debate for people.

I held on for a while after the last film, wondering whether JK would announce anything surprising, but I find that even if she did it wouldn't serve to help the diminishing numbers on the site or my bank balance!

Myself, I've been absent a lot more in the past year as personal issues have taken over and I've had to work longer hours, to earn more money to keep the forums going as well as pay for things like rent, utilities and god knows what else.

Some of you will be sad and I'm sure others will be happy. I'm not doing this lightly and I could have closed the site last year but held off. I know this may upset some of you who've come to see this place as a haven with friends and I'm very sorry it has to go but I've kept this place going with money out of my own pocket for 10 years now and it's no longer financially viable to do so. Please understand that this is not an easy decision!

Some of you may wish to offer to help, to donate or even take on the site. Whilst I would listen to any suggestions, I will not accept donations as this would be unsustainable in the long-term. If you wanted to take on CoS, be aware that you would need to find $200 per month and to be honest with you all I'm not sure I'm prepared to let the site be taken over by anyone. I've created a thread for comments. The other staff know only as much as the above. There is no Plan B as far as they are concerned, so do not pester them for answers to questions. If they do not know, they are being totally honest.

Many thanks to everyone who for the last 10+ years have worked in one way or another on the site. All the staff, past and present who gave their time and energy to making the community work. Every single person gave their time for free and were never paid for their efforts. It was a labor of love for all.
Many thanks to the members, those who came & went and dared to stay. Every single one of you who contributed to the site, to the discussions and events. You were the ones who made the site what it became, from the all the book releases to the heated, sometimes famous debates about all sorts of topics. You made CoS what it was. So thank you.

I think Lily's name came up a lot simply to allow for the Weevil accusation to have some credibility.

On a completely different note, how annoyingly amusing was the rude little girl who had the necklace?

well on vmars myspace it has the opening clip for next week and yeah calire made up being raped. those feminests really are making me hate them. maybe wallace didnt cheat....i still have hope!!!

no worries! yeah im so hooked on veronica mars its not funny. every week it has the opening scenes posted on there which is awesome however makes me have withdrawl symptoms waiting a whole wee for the next episode! thanks for the spoilor info will be sure to do it next time. hope i didnt ruin it for anyone!

I honestly didn't notice.

This episode seemed to be a bit lacking to me, but I can't quite put my finger on as to why.

I thought episode six was probably the best of the season thus far.

I enjoyed having quite a number of Wallace scenes in this episode. I think they have played his struggles with first year uni quite realistically and its a struggle that many students can identify with.

The episode was easily the best episode for Piz and Parker and it fleshed out their characters quite well.

I am really liking the Dean, much like the Vice-Principal/Principal in the previous two seasons he's an authority figure who is quite amusing. I enjoy practically all of his scenes.

It'll be interesting to see what Logan was up to with Mercer, particularly seeing as Logan's action in the series so far has been almost a mini-mystery in its own right.

It's a shame about his wife and Landry though. Good on the TA to warn Veronica even though he did it in such a convoluted way, nearly getting V into a lot of trouble.

Anyone think the TA has some special interest in the rape cases or just a professional one, being in criminology?

Mercer, Logan, GHB...not a good sign.

Love, love, love the Dean. He reminds me of my college's dean, I think that's why I love him so much. It's so dead on.

I think the TA is probably has a professional interest... The board seemed to be looking for patterns and similarities and such, not really a posting of all the headlines, like a glory page or anything. That's just my opinion. It's almost too obvious for it to be him.

I really enjoyed the increased scenes with Piz/Parker/Wallace. Though I'm still wondering where Mac is... I'm kinda tired of the lame excuses they give...

Does Logan really think Veronica is going to trust him? Veronica, Trust? HA!

The whole development with Keith and whatsername from Just Shoot Me brought up something... does anyone remember if he and Lianne are officially divorced? I just don't remember if they are or not.

Otherwise, I agree. I really liked this episode.

They don't appear to be. Keith prepared himself in case he ever did want a divorce in Season 1 (I believe) but he never actually divorced her.
