Book Five Predictions: Who Will Fall in Love with Whom?

Ok, another B5 thread. Question is simple. ;D

Well, I am gunning for a Ron/Hermione relationship. I think they are just about the best matched couple. Hermione seems to have a little thing going for him, and Ron being a bit of a fool, doesn't see he's attracted to her as well.

As for Harry. I don't know who he can really go with. I think Ginny is too timid for him, and I don't think they are really well matched. I wondered whether Cho Chang would, but she's going to still be grieving for Cedric or at the least, not interested in Harry, that way. Maybe a new girl will stir Harry's soul!!

Well, I've always hoped for a Harry/Hermione relationship. The reason being that they both need each other, they're already very close and have something special between them, and she gave him a kiss on the cheek, which makes you wonder. Plus, their relationship will only deepen as they get older and as Harry realises what he has in Hermione (a friend who would literally give her life for him), and as she realises she has feelings for the man (that kiss on the cheek has got to point at something). I do not, however, think that they will date. I think they'll realize that that would only threaten their friendship and they'll put that aside for a deeper, brother/sister relationship. I do think that, long after the books have ended, they will one day get married.

As for Ron/Hermione. After GoF, not likely, not likely at all. Hermione seems to have transfered her loyalty and commitment fully to Harry, and I think she won't allow any feelings she has for Ron to inetrfere with her helping Harry. Besides, Ron doesn't deserve her, but I won't get into that.

Let's see, this is what I've noticed..
Hermione :crush: Harry

Ron :crush: Hermoine
Ginny :crush: Harry
Pansy :crush: Draco

How it will all work out..I'd like to see it like this:
Hermione and Ron
Harry and Ginny
Pansy and Draco

I don't think Cho is interested in Harry, and I think Harry will get over her
Ginny will be 14 next year..things might change..
Hermione does seem to be a bit interested in Harry more than Ron, but I think she kinda likes him too, maybe he'll do something for her to make him like her more.

Darn..more to come, I have to go so I can't finish this but I don't want to lose it..

I never thought of Pansy and Draco before now. I often thought Draco was kinda odd. Bit of a pansy himself. I personally don't really care if they do or don't get together. Malfoy would be better off dating a ferret.

I think Harry'll get over Cho quickly, and that Ginny will get some sense and do the same with Harry. I hope Harry never has any serious attachments. He should be a loner. It'd be a hindrance.

As for Harry & Hermione. They'll only ever be good friends. I know JK said something somewhere about it.

Oh, I'd say Hagrid & Madame Maxime, but I think Hagrid will die. I don't like Pansy. She's spineless and whimpering and even Draco is better than that.

Well the only reason I said that about them is because I've noticed Pansy worries about Draco and stands up for him sometimes too, well at least that's what it seems like to me.

I don't think Harry likes Hermione back though and like Ana said I remember seeing something about that too.

Well, there's no doubt in my mind that Ron and Hermione will end up together. They're definitely in love with each other. Hermione kissing Harry (on the cheek, mind you!) is far more indicative of mere friendship than the love-struck Hermione we saw at the Christmas Ball. No, Hermione's got it bad for Ron, and he's too stupid to realize that he's got it bad for her too.

Now about Harry. I really think he'll end up with Ginny. Now, I'm a lot less sure about this than I am about Ron and Hermione. Harry really hasn't shown any interest. Yet. I don't know, I felt a kind of soul-mate vibe when they both reacted very strongly to the first Dementor attack on the train.

I hope for Harry/Hermione, but I don't think it will happen. Ron/Hermione is most likely to happen. I've never imagined Harry ending up with Ginny. It is an old scenario, and JK will make a surprise for us, I guess... As for Harry/Cho, it probably won't happen. Just my opinion.

Seems to me like JK is already putting Ron and Hermione together, like the debacle at the Yule Ball. Harry? I have trouble seeing him with Ginny. Not without a lot of work on Ginny's character. She still seems like such a little girl to me.

JKR said that Harry and Hermione are platonic friends. I think that the kiss on the cheek was proof that Hermione does not like Harry in a romantic way. Hermione is very insecure socially. She is not the type of girl that would make a pass at a boy. I think she is so comfortable with their friendship that she knew he would not take the kiss the wrong way.

When Harry and Ron were fighting, Hermione went back and forth between them. She understands Ron very well and that's why she had to explain to Harry that Ron was jealous. She is devoted to Ron but we don't always see it since the book is from Harry's point of view. She needs Ron because she is too serious and he will help her to lighten up.

I don't know who should be with Harry. It will probably be Ginny, but I don't really like her with him.

I'd like to see Harry and someone new, and Ron and Hermione. They're the only one's I want and think will happen. I dunno why, I just don't like the Harry and Ginny combination..

Exactly! That is so right!

Opposites attract, and Ron and Hermione have got it together. My Grandma and Grandpa are very different. I could get into all of the details, but I won't. I always thought that Ron and Hermione would be great together. However, even though it is very easily comprehended that Ron likes Hermione, Hermione's thought's are better hidden. Like Valerie said, I think that it's very cute.

Harry is just going through adolescent fever. He will get over Cho Chang soon enough, and will probably find someone else. Honestly, I didn't think that they were right from the start. I actually thought that Cedric and Cho went together quite well. She obviously cared for him and him for her (remember, the thing that he would miss the most is Cho. Cho has to have time to grieve. She will need time to think it through.

Ginny is such a nice girl. She deserves someone that cares for her like she cares for Harry. Perhaps someday she will get over him. Harry obviously doesn't like her in that way, and personally, I doubt he ever will. But then, Ginny is going to play a large part in the next book, and if she and Harry got together, it would give her a larger part.

Pansy likes Draco enough, but what about Draco? As much as I dislike Draco, he does deserve someone that is bad in his way. Is Pansy like that? I don't think we know enough about her to make that decision. We will see. But will Draco like Hermione? Now, that would be interesting, but I believe that it is way too unlikely. I just thought that I'd bring that up.

What about Viktor Krum? What do you think about him? He obviously cares for Hermione, but I don't think that she cares for him in that way. I think that she just wants to be friends, and she obviously was very flattered when he asked her to the ball. She might have even tried to make Ron a little jealous. I think that Krum needs to make room for another girl because Hermione is not his type.

Finally, what about Harry? Well, I think that he might find a new girl later on, and love her. Or, he might just go it solo. For some reason, he just doesn't match very well with the girls around him. Perhaps he will later on. Just like any other teenage boy, he is still constantly changing.

Very good hypothesis guys, but how JKR will deal with those love stories after those blushing faces and misunderstandings? There are youth books so I think we can't expect much out of love relationships.
If Harry has a girlfriend, will Voldie or the death eaters use this "weakness"?

Those are the ones that seem right to me. I dont' really have a reason.. obviously, Ron and Hermione have something going on already. And, well, Ginny already likes Harry, and I think Harry will realize she would be good for him soon.

This is a good point, but he doesn't have to have a "real" girlfriend. Voldie just has to believe that he has a girlfriend. I'm sure that the Death Eaters have all been reading the articles about Hermione being Harry's girlfriend. Hermione is also muggleborn so I'm afraid she would be an excellent target for Voldemort.
