I've been wondering that myself. It's no longer with Hagrid... i think the ministry knows about it, correct me if im wrong, but in the 5th book there was a mention of Sirius being spotted on his bike. Maybe Mr.Weasley has it, he does (did) have a car.

I don't think the books ever metion what happened to his bike. It just said that Hagrid was going to return it to Sirius in the first chapter of SS/PS. He couldn't have though becauce Sirius was on the run trying to track down Pettigrew.

Somehow I can't imagine Harry flying around on that bike....

Where does it say Harry's looking for it? It seems like it hasn't been seen since Hagrid had it or atleast we know he had it last. I think right after Harry was dropped off Hagrid got into an accident because he is so big and the bike is not (well most likely) porportion to his size. Therefore it is long gone. Either that or I think that Sirius gave it to someone before he went to Azkaban and whoever that migjt be has it.

I have a theory. hagrid goes to get it washed but he goes to poeple who cant wash moterbikes so they ruin it and Hagrid feels so guilty so he says somone stole it and then buired it when sirius wasnt looking.

P.S. he still feels bad about it

OR He took it to Knokerturn Alley and because its such a dodgy place someone stole it when HaGrid went into a shop.

This subject seems really familiar, but I can't seem to find the old thread on it. I remember somebody having an idea that Hagrid hid the bike down Knockturn Alley somewhere.

The MoM did know that Sirius had a motorbike-it's mentioned in OotP, but Sirius hasn't had it since he loaned it to Hagrid that night. I don't think it's very important. Hagrid probably hid it in the Forest in case he needed to fly somewhere and couldn't use a Threstal (I don't know if they make broomsticks big enough for him!)

It's very simple, Hagrid broke it on the way back to Hogwarts! T3h 3dn! ...>_>...

No, I'd have to go with the forest. It's like a garage for monstrous stuff.

Yeah, Hagrid probably got it to breed with Mr Weasley's car!

Hagrid probably tried to return it to Sirius, couldn't find him, so returned with it to Hogwarts. It sat in Hagrid's shed until Sirius opened up #12 Grimmauld Place for the Order's use, then Hagrid returned it. By the way that Kingsley Shacklebolt referred to it ("we've received information that Black might still be using his old motorcycle"), he was very aware that Sirius had a bike and probably knew right where it was.

It's probably in a small garage or shed out back of #12, and Harry will find it when he drops by there. Either that, or Mundungus stole it and sold it...

Yeah, whoever said he was looking for it? I don't think JKR mentioned in HBP that Harry was looking for Sirius's moterbike. Though I think this topic IS quite interesting.

Yeah, the forest is kind of like a garage for Hagrid, isn't it? It's big enough, dark enough, scary enough, and most importantly, it's forbidden to students, especially inquisitive ones. But it's not keeping them away, is it? BREED WITH THE CAR? *mpfft* Now that'll be funny!

No it can't be, or at least I don't think so, because Godric's Hollow blew up. Hard to hide a moterbike in the shambles. Unless someone hid it in the house and left before it exploded I find it unlikely. I mean, you can't possibly move all the wreck, shift the moterbike in, and pile the wreck back over the bike, could you?

Maybe the Ministry convenscated (sp?) it when he went to Azkaban, then they destroyed it. ( just a thought )

I was thinking along those lines. Maybe when Sirius went to confront Peter, he used it to get there. Then when he got arrested the MoM took it. I don't think they destroyed it since there is that report of a flying motorcycle in OOTP. It might have been stolen from the MoM. In America, they sell "police impound" cars at auction, but I don't know if that would exsist in the magical world.

I don't think Hagrid would have taken it back to Godric's Hollow. He used it to fly from GH to Privet Drive (though it seemed to take an entire 24 hours...). I don't think he would have brought it back to GH. He probably either took it back to Hogwarts with him, assuming that he would see Sirius soon to return it, or he took it to wherever the headquarters for the OotP was during VW1, expecting Sirius to show up there eventually.

I would say that Hagrid knows where it is, whether he has it or not. I do expect to see it again in book 7. If the books truely mirror themselves, the motorcycle was in SS/PS so it stands to reason that it will be in book 7. I may be wrong, but I think we will see it.

I suspect it's with Hagrid, but in the scheme of things it isn't all that important.

If Hagrid had it, he would have returned it to Sirius in book 5. The fact is, the motorcycle is in my garage.
