HE IS Flitwick. The reason he was listed as choir master was because Steve Kloves just wrote a choir master conducting a choir of students into the script. Later, they decided to have Flitwick be the choir master, but never changed the name in the credits.

What's even more interesting is that neither of their mouths move during this little bit of dialouge.

Well I didn't noticed the "Avada" Lucius thing at first because when I saw the movie before I read the book, and if you've never read the books, you wouldn't have known what Avada Kedavra was. But after I read the book, the first time I saw the movie I picked up on what he was saying. Which I thought to be rather annoying. How did he expect to get away with murdering Harry on Hogwarts grounds? Dumbledore should have followed Harry out of his office, being invisbile as he can make himself in Hogwarts, for Harry's safety considering he was going after a known death eater.

I didn't pick up at first that the feather at the end of the third movie was indicating that Sirius sent the broom. I kept thinking - what's with the stupid feather?

I didn't see the shape of a dog in the tea-cup the three times I saw the movie in the theater, but saw it clear as day the first time I saw it on DVD.

Okay, trivia question! (Slightly off topic, but not really.) Which of the following lines were actually said in COS?

A. "Who am I, Hedwig? What am I?"
B. "Er... do you have anything to say, Dudley?"/ "PUDDING!!!" /"Pudding?"
C. "What did he say?"/ "Diagonally."/*sigh* "I thought he did."

Spoiler: show
They are all in it. The first two are from deleted scenes, though, so the third is the only one in the final cut.

C! Well, I think it is. Maybe if he said knockturnally instead, he would've ended up in Diagon Alley. I noticed in PS when everyone runs cheering and running to Harry in broomtick practice, that Draco mysteriously dissapeares. Now, this either means that he's apparated, or they decided to make Draco run and cheer too.

‘And now – piertotum locomotor!’ cried Professor McGonagall. And all along the corridor the statues and suits of armour jumped down from their plinths, and from the echoing crashes from the floors above and below, Harry knew that their fellows throughout the castle had done the same.
‘Hogwarts is threatened!’ shouted Professor McGonagall. ‘Man the boundaries, protect us, do your duty to our school!’
Clattering and yelling, the horde of moving statues stampeded past Harry: some of them smaller, others larger than life. There were animals too, and the clanking suits of armour brandished swords and spiked balls on chains.

Same actor, different character.

I also understand that he plays two characters in PS: that of Flitwick and a Goblin?

Is this really the case? Was it not said that he used the Diary for his own purposes because he did not think Voldemort was coming back?

In the third movie, I didn't notice Buckbeak taking a dump in the scene he was introduced in until my cousin pointed it out to me. Most things mentioned here I didn't notice either.

Movie mistakes

Purely for mistakes, as noted by some here, check out www.moviemistakes.com. You will find numerous mistakes in the films thereon, such as the missing glasses of McGonagall in the first film.

As for things actually missed, well repeat viewings of any film normally show you something you have missed. It took me a while to twig that the changing seasons were depicted by the Whomping Willow throughout PoA.

The scar typically changes because they flip the film because it looks better. In the case of PoA, the Boggart scene was actually a reflection of Harry in the mirror - hence flipped scar. In other cases, it's film-flip.

The makeup artists must use some sort of template (or maybe they hand draw it), it by now, they should clue in as to what side the scar is on

PoA had tons of mistakes, but only because of the time sequence. It would be very difficult to remember exactly what you were doing during the original shoot (before the time-turner sequence), so of course movement may be off.

I'll be interested to hear the GoF ones, though.

(I still want to know the punch line!) I find that CoS has lots of little unexpected bits, which make it my favourite of the films.

The plumber joke: ...And when he gets to the ninth floor, there's water as far as the eye can see, and the second plumber says, "Yes, and that's only the top of it!" *PUDDING SPLATTER!*

What did you miss during your first several viewings? If anyone else has already invented this topic, Schmergo is grievously sorry, sirs. She will have to iron her fingers.
I didn't Lucius saying "avada..." until I read your post just now. Looks like I was the last person to find that out

In PoA, when the kids met Buckbeak, Draco is eating a greeen apple. During DADA, the boggart lesson, Lupin is eating a red apple. At first I thought that Cuaron was just trying to tell kids watching the movie that an apple a day keeps the doctors away. But, I don't know, this could give something to talk about to the "Draco is/will be a werewolf" camp.

When Oliver Wood is teaching Harry about Quidditch, when he releases the Snitch from the crate, Harry and Oliver look in separate directions, but neither look at the Snitch itself. I know it is difficult to track an invisible ball, but if they could use a tennis ball for Dobby in CoS, why couldn't they have some marker for the Snitch, too? Someone pointed this out to me (maybe it was in the Mistakes section here. I don't remember) but as soon as I heard it, I checked it out, and it was true! I had a good laugh at that. Continuity is a fickle thing.

COS was on this weekend and I just noticed that when Harry and Ron take the polyjuice potion their Gryffindor robes change to slytherin ones without them having to change clothes.

Things you didn't notice in GOF the first time through.

What things in Goblet of Fire did you not pick up on until you watched it a second time or more?

Some that I didn't pick up until my second or third watching were...

Harry was holding a toothbrush when he walked into the dorm room where Ron was trying on his dress robe.

The twins were whispering about saying McGonagall's tongue-twister five times fast and tried doing it.

Moody pointed to Harry the way to go in the maze.

I didn't understand why Cornelius Fudge had his wand pointed at his throat at the Tri-Wizard tournament the first time I watched the movie. I thought he was being suicidal or something.

Cho was in the group of Ravenclaw girls when Harry was looking to ask someone to the dance.

Draco dancing with a girl at the ball.

That the Padma and Parvati weren't identical.

I spotted Crabbe the second time dancing with/by Viktor. He had his hands on Viktors shoulders and was jumping/dancing like a madman.

Draco's date wasnt Pansy (I think) she had dark skin is all I caught

Ron's adorable s****** and eyebrow raise when Hermione read of "Hermione Granger and plain but..." It was adorable

A glance between Snape and Dumbledore at the very end. It was quick but meaningful I think.
