Lily Potter was sitting in the living room watching MTV, she had red hair and almond shaped green eyes. She kept one eye on the clock and the other on the TV.

If her mother came home and saw her, she would have a fit! Dad was ok with it.

Just as one of her favorite songs started there was a knock on the door, damn, thought Lily Busted!, wait mum and dad don't knock.

Lily tuned off the TV and went to the door. Now I want it, known that Lily has excellent manners, but sometimes things happen that make the best of us forget them, and that is exactly what happened when Lily opened the door.

Standing on the threshold where four people Lily had never seen in her life but knew straight away who they where.

A lady so tall and skinny, two men who where very large with matching mustaches, a small and very scared girl, no older the 11.

After staring for a few minutes Lily found her voice:

"Would you like to come in?"

"No we would not," said the older man. "We want to speak to your father now!"

"I'm sorry but he is out at the moment he should be home in about 10 minutes. If you care to wait I can make some tea and mum made some cake this morning if you would like some." she said in a monotonous tone.

"Oh, well we'll wait." the younger man said.

With that they pushed past Lily and went to the dining room. The little girl stayed behind with Lily and she looked like she was about to burst in to tears, "I'm sorry they are so rude."

"It ok Stacey dad told me all about them"

"You know my name?"

"Of course like I said, dad told us all about them. Let's go have some cake my mum's a wonderful cook."

"That would be Lovely, Lily."

As the walked down the hall Lily noticed the portrait of her grandparents, her grandfather had a horrible look on his face and her grandmother just looked really shocked.

"Is that your mum?" asked Stacey

"No, it's my grandmother."

"You look just like her you know."

" Yes as a matter a fact I do, but I really like hearing it." Stacey giggled.

Lily brought tea and cake into dining room where it was silent. The front door opened still silence, "Lily where are you I have something for you" cried a voice from the hall.

"Dad I'm in here."

Lily's dad walked in to the dining room (he looked just like his father, but the eyes they where his mother's eyes) Not noticing the visitors, "right Lily if you tell your mother about this you'll get in trouble and so will I. I brought for you a surpise to take to school, your Brother got one so it's only fair...."

"Dad."

"Now now Lily, it's not that much.................."

"Dad."

"You got great grades last year and you deserve something for that, it’s up in your room… I think you will like it.................."

"DAD!"

"What?"

"We have guests."

"Well boy you still are rude, as well as an ungrateful little snot rag you always were," the older man said.

"Ok times have change Uncle Vernon, This is my house and I think that you can call me by my name or get out!"

Vernon stated to mutter under his breath.

The woman spoke next:

"Harry, we need your help."

Harry almost choked laughing "What on earth can the ungrateful snot rag Harry Potter do to help the Dursleys? This has got to be good."

The young man replied to this " Stacey got a letter the other day from that ruddy school you work at."

At this point Harry fell on to the floor laughing.

"This isn't funny!" yelled Dudley.

"That's where your wrong this is the funniest thing I have ever heard."

“Well she won't be going that's for sure!!!"

At that Stacey burst into tears and Harry no longer found it funny.

"And why not?" asked Harry.

"I won't have my only daughter being a freak!" yelled Dudley

"Lily why don't you and Stacey go to the living room and watch some TV so we can talk. This seems to be upsetting Stacey."

"Yes Dad, come on Stacey we can watch anything you want."

With that Lily and Stacey left the room.

After about 10 minutes Stacey turned to Lily.

"I really want to go to Hogwarts… what's it like there?'

"It's one of the most beautiful places in the world and there is never a dull moment."

"Doesn't your dad work there?"

"Yes he is the Defense Against the Dark Arts Teacher."

"Do you think your dad can get my granddad and Dad to let me go?"

"What about your grandmother?"

"She wants me to go, she says that it would be good for me to know about the other side of the family."

The Picture of Lily's grandmother fainted.
A little while later, after the portrait had regained consciousness, the adults walked in the room.

"You will be staying here for a few days, Harry is taking you to get your school stuff Then you will come home for the rest of the holidays to come back there the night before you leave." said Dudley

"Oh thank you daddy I love you so much. Thank you."

With a kiss and a hug from their granddaughter the Dursleys started up the hall Lily was sure the she hear Petunia say something to the portrait of her sister.

Dudley truned to Harry "you look after her, you hear, she's all I've got left."

"Yes Dudley I'll care for her like she was one of my own."

With that he cuddled Stacey and kissed her a few times told her he loved her and left too.
"My mum was a witch you know."

"WHAT" said Harry and Lily spinning around together.

"I guess you wouldn't know, Dad didn't know, only I did she told me not long before she died"

"Wait a minute are you telling me that Dudley was married to a witch?" asked Harry

"Yes"

Lily didn't know what to think she saw her father was just standing there, the portrait of her grandparents where laughing themselves silly. At that point the front door opened. Ginny entered the house followed by two very upset 12 year old boys They looked just like Harry but with red hair.

"Mum why are you so mean" said one

"because I'm your mother that's why!, now don't start , you're your Uncles all over"

"what have you two been up to now?' asked Harry

"they where just trying to buy everything in Fred and Gorges shop" replied Ginny

"Hello, Stacey" said the boys in unison "how are you?'

"Hi, Fine thank you Brian & David"

"you three know each other" asked Lily

"OH yes we went to school together you know when Dad decided that it was important to go to school with muggles"

"Ok so what are you doing here Stacey " Asked Ginny politely

"I'll answer that dear, well you remember my Aunt, Uncle and my cousin Dudley don't you"

"Yes of course how can I forget"

"well Stacey is Dudley's Daughter and she is going to Hogwarts this year"

Ginny stared for a few seconds and then burst out laughing "oh that is priceless"

"It gets funnier it turns out that Stacey's mother was a witch"

"Was " asked Ginny stopping laughing immediately

"She died two years ago Aunty Ginny," there was a pause "I can call you Aunt and Uncle can't I?"

"of course you can dear" Ginny told her sweetly.

" If you don't mind I'd really prefer not to talk about my mother though"

"Perfectly Ok Stacey dear", said Harry why don't you and the kids go up stairs to get ready for dinner"

"Ok"

"Hey is Sirius going to be home for Dinner Dad?" asked David

"Yes, he said he would try"

"cool"

The kids walked up stairs the house was huge, the two boys went in to one room as Lily and Stacey keep walking. They past a door on the left with many moving pictures on the door and a big black sign with words glowing in red "KEEP OUT BELIEVE ME IT'S MORE THEN YOUR LIFES WORTH TO ENTER HERE!!!!!

"That Sirius room " Lily told Stacey

" Ok so who is Sirius"

"Oh I'm sorry he's my older brother his a bit of a git but I love him"

"How old is he?"

"He's 17, he's in his last year at Hogwarts and is Head boy"

"So where is he now?"

"who knows could be anywhere, I think he might be at our grandparents then again he could be at Uncle Ron's"

They walk down the hall a little way and entered a room that Stacey though didn't not match the person standing next to her, the walls could not be seen due to the mass a posters on the wall, some moving others not, the floor was covered with books,clothes, sweet wrappers and empty cans of soft drink.

"who's room is this"

"mine" said Lily "It's a bit of a mess but I know where everything is"

"I know what you mean"

There was a pile of clothes on the desk making a hooting sound

"what's that?" asked Stacey in a scared voice

"oh that's just Aussie"

"who or what is Aussie?"

Lily walk over to the deck and removed the clothes to reveal a cage containing what looked like a owl

"Is it a owl?"

"yep"

"I never seen one like it"

"Well I would be surprised if you had, He's from Australia they call him a Tawny frog-mouth, my uncle Fred brought him back when he went over there a few years ago.

"He is beautiful, I don't have a owl can I get one"

"I'm sure you can get one tomorrow when you go with dad to pick up your other school things "

"will you be coming with us?" asked Stacey in a small scared voice

"if you wanted me too" said Lily with a smile

"oh please I really don't want to be the only girl"

"I understand that ok I'll suggest to Dad that I come too"

"Shouldn't you ask him"

" Oh no I make him think it's his Idea" Lily had a huge grin on her face
Lily sat down on her bed to the sound of creaking paper

"what's this" Said Lily looking at the parcel' written on the paper was : Lily have fun a please don't tell your mother, Love Dad.

Lilly ripped the paper open to reveal an invisibility cloak

"Yes" yelled Lily "I always wanted one of these, It's an invisibility cloak it makes you disappear" She told Stacey after seeing the bewildered look on her face.

Just then there was a bang on the door

"what" yelled Lily

"Mum said dinners ready" said one of the twins through the door

"And Sirius isn't home yet" added the other

"oh poor babies Have to eat dinner without there big brother how will they do it" laughed Lily

"I'm telling mum" said the boys in unison

"you do that then", laughed lily ''come on Stacey if we want to eat anything we better get going"

Lily and Stacey went down stairs and entered the dinning room. The food of the table was unbelievable every kind of food you could possible want was there. Everyone sat down around the table and was about to start eating when the fire place at the far end of the room sprang into life with green fire. Stacey jumped under the table, Lily reacted down to help her up.

"must you always pull stupid stuns like that you big git" yelled Lily

"One must make a entrance dear sister"

"well it would be a entrance if you didn't do it every night" said Lily

"Hello Mother, Father, Brothers, Sister & and person I don't know," Sirius said with a bow

"This is Stacey Sirius, Stacey this is my son Sirius" said Harry

"nice to meet you Sirius"

"pleasures all mine, my dear Stacey"

"new Hogwarts student I take it?" asked Sirius

"yes" replied Harry "we're going to Diagon Alley tomorrow to pick up Stacey's school things"

Sirius sat down at the table, everybody ate until they where quite full and sat at the table talking they gave Stacey the run down of Hogwarts, the houses, Quidditch, teachers and of course the most important thing of all the secret passage ways!

"oh dad I almost forget I'd really like some new robes for school could you pick some up for me tomorrow please" asked lily sweetly

"Um, why don't you come with us I always seem to get the wrong size" replied Harry

"Oh what a wonderful idea dad, I'd love to come" said Lily as she winked a Stacey

"Why do I get the feeling that I've just been had" asked Harry to the room at large.

The next day was a beautiful sunny day, Lily and Stacey showered and got dress. Stacey was wearing a sun dress, Lily however was wearing a pair of faded jeans a plain light blue T-shirt with her hair tucked up into her Baseball cap.

"Ready" asked Lily

"As I'm ever going to be"

"right lets go down stairs have some breakfast and let Dad know we're ready to go"

They went down to the dinning room table to a breakfast of pancakes and waited for Harry, After about 20 min's Harry came down to breakfast still in his PJ. That's not a good sign thought Lily time too hurry him a long.

"um dad did you forget that you where taking Stacey and I to Diagon Ally today" asked Lily

"What, oh no I'm not going didn't your brother tell you last night?'

"Tell me what?"

"Well it turns out that Sirius has to go into Diagon Ally today, something to do with Head Boy duties, Anyway if you and Stacey go with him you can help Stacey shop and your brother would be there to keep an eye on the two of you"

"Your just trying to get out of shopping aren't you" Lily accused her father

"You know what, I do believe your right" replied Harry without the hint of a smile

Just then Sirius walk in the room dressed in a pair of jeans and a handsome emerald green dress shirt

"ready to go ladies?" he asked looking at the girls "you're not wearing that are you Lily you look like a boy"

"So what I not trying to impress anyone, with leads to my question Who are you trying to impress?" Lily retorted with a sly grin

"No one thank you very much, I'm head boy I need to set an example" Sirius answered a little to quickly "Right well I think it's time we where off , can I have some money now please dad?"

Harry handed him some money which he put in his wallet, Harry then gave some money to Lily which she stuffed in to her pocket. They arrived at the Leaky Cauldron about an hour later, they had decided that Stacey should not be subject to The Knight Bus or travelling by Floo powder. They went through the bar to the courtyard Lily touch the stone wall with her wand and Stacey was given her first view of Diagon Ally.

"It's amazing" she said

"It's ok " Sirius said in a off handed manner "Alright, will you guys be right by yourself?"

"of course" replied Lily

"Good I'm off, I'll meet you at Uncle Fred & George's shop at one, bye"

"Tell Isabella I said Hello" Lily yelled to Sirius back

Sirius stopped dead and turned around

"I never said anything about Isabella"

"Oh I'm sorry I just assumed that if it was Head boy stuff that would mean that the head girl would be around here somewhere"

"Right, well........, yeah she might be here somewhere"

Sirius turned and walk off when he was out of sight Lily burst out laughing,

"What's so funny?" asked Stacey

"Well it goes like this", started Lily fighting back tears of laughter, "Sirius is one of the most popular guys at school his smart, funny, charming & so my friends tell me Handsome, I don't see it myself, Any why he's had a crush on Isabella for at least five year that I know off, but heres the catch she has no idea, and he can't tell her!"

"Oh that's sad"

"Why do you say that?"

"Well it must really be hard not knowing how she feel about him, it most be worse then her not liking him at all" Stacey was saying this with a single tear in her left eye

"Thanks Stacey"

"What for"

"Well know I feel absolutely horrid about laughing at him all this time"

"I'm sorry"

"No Stacey never be sorry for telling people what you think, right I'll deal with the Sirius Isabella situation later, why don't we go get your stuff, have some ice-cream and go visit my Uncles?"

"Sounds good to me"

They decided to get the robes first after that they went to Ollivanders for Stacey's wand about an hour later they had every thing on Stacey's list except for The animal with of cause would be an Owl, So the went to get it. Stacey decided on a beautiful eagle Owl which She named Mercury.

"Right we have all the boring stuff, except for Mercury here, now lets get a ice-cream and go to my Uncles for the important stuff"

"Ok" Said Stacey

They got their ice-creams Lily's a mint choc-chip her favorite and Stacey's a plain chocolate and started to walk to Fred & George's, As the where walking past a cafe Lily noticed her brother sitting at a table with a stunning pale, blonde haired girl, Sirius was leaning over a book and a piece of his hair had fallen down over his face, Isabella's hand started to move of it's own accord to remove the hair form his face, She realized what she was doing and quickly put her hand down. At that moment Lily realized that Isabella felt the same way about Sirius as he did about her. Steps must be taken Lily thought to herself. They arrived at the greatest shop in Diagon Ally a few minutes later.

Fred was standing near the counter, George on the other hand was tell two small children how to work a portable swamp. Lily and Stacey started to look around the shop, when Fred spotted them.

"hey it's my favorite niece, Hi there Lily"

"Hi Uncle Fred how are you?"

"Fine Lily thanks for asking" Fred looked at Stacey "and who is this young lady"

"I'm Stacey, where getting my school thing I'm starting Hogwarts this year and I can't wait"

"Wonderful, now lets get all the important stuff like fake wands, extendable ears & Skiving Snackboxes"

"Um okay" replied Stacey in a small voice "but what are Skiving Snackboxes?"

As Fred was filling Stacey in on the wonderful world of magical mischief making, Lily walk around the store, she was looking for something she had wanted for a while now she found it on a self near the back 'Patented Daydream Charms' the only problem was they where for over sixteens and the fact that she was only fifteen was something that she was sure her uncles would remember.

"I'll tell you what I'll let you buy one if you swear not to tell your parents" said a voice behind her

"Uncle George would you really" she gasped

"Why not, I mean as long as you don't tell what harm can it do"

"Oh thank you so much"

"your more then welcome lets wrap it up so no one sees what it is"

A short time later Sirius came in and told they it was time to go, after a brief discussion in which Stacey confessed that she would really like to travel by Floo Power just to see what it was like, it was decided that that would be the quickest way home, so within minutes they where standing in the dinning room looking at the rest of the family sitting down to lunch.

"Brilliant I staring" Said Sirius

The next few days where so much fun for Lily it was so nice to have another girl around the house. the time was sent mostly by playing jokes on other family members and visitors. On more then one occasion Sirius wand had started hitting him over the head as soon as he had tried to cast a spell, which everyone including Sirius had found extremely funny. However all good thing must come to an end and they did just that, four days later at about 5 o'clock in the evening there was a knock are the door.

Harry opened the door. It was Dudley it was time for Stacey to go home.

"Is Stacey ready to go Harry" he asked

"I don't think so, to tell you the truth I don't think she has even started to pack her things, you know how kids are"

"Right, well I'll just wait outside for her then"

"No Dudley you won't, Ginny is just about finished dinner, you and Stacey will be staying for dinner then you and I are going to have a talk"

"Who do you think you're talking to Harry" spat Dudley "I am not one of your students you can tell what to do"

"Of course not, you are my magic hating cousin who's daughter is a witch with a awful lot of information you need to know, not only that I need information, now get inside sit down and stop being a jackass"

"no body has ever spoken to me like that"

"Well then its about time now come inside," Harry adopted a prefect imitation of his Aunt and said "The neighbors will talk"

Dudley let a small smile cross his lips "all right if I must" walking into the hall

"Yes I think you must" grinned Harry closing the door

about five minutes later everyone was sitting at the dinning table to what Lily thought was an every greater feast then her mother put on for Christmas

"Well that settles it" announced Sirius

Settles what?' asked Lily

"Dudley you need to come to dinner more often, mum put on the best spread I've ever see"

"I think I just might if your mum cooks all this for me all the time" laughed Dudley

After dinner was finish and Brian and David had told everyone if they ate another bite they would burst, Lily and Stacey decided it was time to pack and left the room, however when they got to Lily's room Lily ran inside grab two extendable ears and ran back downstairs with Stacey hot on her heals. When they got to the dinning room it was empty now where would dad go Lily thought and then it came to her, dad's study. So with Stacey in toe she went to the study, she could here people talk but couldn't make out the words.

"All right Stacey here is your first lesson in extendable ears put one end to your ear and let the other crawl under the door" she whispered

Stacey did just that

"......just hard you know I have been brought up to believe that you and your kind where freaks now don't get me wrong my daughter is no freak so in the last few days I've had to rearrange my thinking a bit"

"I understand that Dudley but Stacey will have a hard enough time with school, to be worry about how her dad will react when she comes home, mainly if you still want her around or not"

"Are you nuts, Harry I love that girl she is my whole world I would never do something like that, I'd die before I let anyone hurt her like that, I lost her mother I'm not going to lose her"

"I'm very pleased to hear that, If she need help at school I will be there to help"

"Oh great "

"Grow up Dudley we're not teenagers anymore I'm not going to take that from you, Now for the next question Stacey's mother what happened I going to have to inform the Headmistress?"

"I don't want to talk about her" Said Dudley very softly

"Dudley are you all right"

"No I'm not, I do not want to talk about my wife to you!"

"You knew didn't you?' Harry whispered

"What are you talking about"

"You knew what she was"

"Of course I did, why would she not tell me, wait a minute how do you know?"

"Stacey told me"

Lily looked across at Stacey and seeing the look of absolute shock on her face at her father's word

"I never told Stacey" said Dudley softly

"Your wife did that, Ok Dudley I think it time you told the whole truth to someone you obversely haven't told your parent or Stacey the whole truth, Who knows you might feel better, and I swear to you if after you've told me you don't want to me to know anymore I can make sure I forget there are plenty of potions & spells that can do that you know"

"Oh very funny, All right I'll tell you"

there was silent's from the room for a little while Lily guessed that Dudley was looking for a good pace to start

"It's always best to start at the beginning Dudley" said Harry softly his voice full of compassion. Lily found that strange, her dad was like that so times.

Dudley sighed " You might be right, Well it all started 15 years ago I was down in the south of France on a business trip for the drilling company and I meet this waitress, as much as I don't want to admit it but I did not think much of her she was just a waitress, but I happened to spend a lot of time at the restaurant she work at, then one day I was the only customer in the place so she made herself a tea a sat down and started talk to me. I told her to leave me alone that I was busy but she just laughed at me and keep talk, my god Harry her laugh was beautiful, anyway after about half an hour more customers came and she still sat there talking, So being my usually charming self I asked her when she was going to get back to work, then she laughed at me again and told me she had been off work for a hour. Now that took me by surprise so I decided to talk back that Harry was the best decision I ever made in my life. I was in France for another two weeks and ever spare moment was spent with her"

"Um Dudley what was her name? you ever told me what it was"

"Oh well her name was Monique, and I loved her Harry with all my heart it still hurts to say her name"

"Try Dudley it gets easier with time"

"Ok where was I, oh right , after the two week was over I had to go home I said farewell to her..um Monique and went home, know Harry I've had a lot of things in my life as you full well know but at the moment I said goodbye I would have give everything for her to be coming with me. Well I wrote to her for about a month but my letter weren't replied to or at the end where sent return to sender so I give up about two months later I walked in to a cafe and one of the waitress grinned at me which was strange because I had never been there before, then my heart stop, as Monique walk out of the Kitchen she looked for all the world, like she was expecting me, looked right at me a said 'it's about time you got here'. That was it I was never letting her get away from me again so there and then I asked her to marry me, She told me she had to tell me something first than if I still wanted to marry her the answer would be yes. That night she came to my house, we had dinner then she sat me down, It was then she told me that she was a witch. Of course I made an *** of myself ranting and raving and carrying on I told her to get out and that I never wanted to see her again" Dudley sighed "About two seconds after she left I realized I had made the biggest mistake of my life so I chased after her but she was gone vanished with out a trace, How did she do that by the way?"

There are ways, what happened next?"

Well for six months I tried to find her with no luck then as a last hope I went back to France to the restaurant and there she was as beautiful as always, We sat and talk for hours I told her everything about you, mum & dad I think she understood we decided well actually she decided to keep the fact that she was a witch a secret from everyone, then we got married we where so happy and then we had Stacey I had never known such happiness"

"I know what you mean"

"And that you would" laughed Dudley "that's pretty much it, we where so happy up until two years ago"

"How did Monique die Dudley, If you don't mind me asking of course"

"It was cancer it was so sudden"

At that point Lily and Stacey took out the extendable ears and went upstairs to pack in silence, later when Stacey was packed and had said goodbye to everyone Stacey turned to her father

"will I be coming back here to go catch the train dad"

"No Stacey dear I will be taking you to the train I know where it is don't I Harry"

"Oh yes I do believe you do" replied Harry smiling "we'll all see you on the train have a great time with your dad Stacey"

"I will Uncle Harry, see you all soon"

"Bye" yelled everyone form the door as Stacey and Dudley got into the car and drove away.

The trip to the train station was uneventful. However when everyone was ready to past through the wall to platform 9 3/4 Lily notice Stacey coming so she stopped to wait.

"Hi Lily" yelled Stacey

"How you doing Stacey?"

"Great mate, just how do we get to the platform dad doesn't know he only knows where about's it is,"

"Oh" Lily laughed "Well just lean up against the wall here and just slide on through"

"Cool, come on dad you promised you would see me off, lets go"

"Um Stacey, I could see you off, form here you know" Dudley said

"No Dad you promised lets go"

"Oh, all right. It doesn't hurt does it Lily? he asked softly

"No Uncle Dudley not a bit" Lily assured him

"did you just call me Uncle"

"You know what, I think I did" Lily Laughed

"It has a nice ring to it, I don't have any nieces or nephews," Dudley took a deep breath "Ok let do this"

Dudley walk purposely to the wall with Lily and Stacey walking behind him, he stopped at the wall however and was looking at it, Lily look to Stacey who winked at her then they both pushed Dudley thought the wall and followed.
Dudley was standing on the other side of the barrier so Lily and Stacey ran into him, after he had helped them off the ground he said

"Its amazing"

"Yes it is, I told magic was ok years ago if I remember correctly" said Harry from off to the side where he had been standing

"That you did Harry, Ok what now?"

"Well you say your farewells to Stacey, Lily takes her on the train to find a seat ,you tell me that I have to keep an eye on Stacey and that if anything happens to her you'll pound me, I'll then tell you not to worry get on the train and go to work" Harry paused " I think that about covers it"

"Well I think you have Harry" Laughed Dudley "except for one thing how do I get off the platform?"

After extended goodbye's to everyone, everyone was on the train, the whistle blow and then there was an explosion there were fireworks everywhere the train stations was lit up like a Christmas tree Stacey and Lily where looking out the window when there compartment door opened with a bang and a small girl Stacey thought would only be about 13 with bushy red hair run in

"Lily hind me please dad's after me"

Lily jump up opened her trunk and through her invisibility cloak over the girl just as the compartment door opened again this time it was a man with red hair and freckles and a very cross expression on his face

"Ok Lily, where is she"

"Why uncle Ron, I have no idea what you are talking about"

"Natina, Lily where is she"

"I haven't seen her what did she do"

"Who else would let the fireworks off"

"Oh"

"I'll find her Lily don't worry, she can't hide forever" With that he left

Lily walk over to her cousin, took the cloak off then sat back down again

"well done Natina not even I thought to do that" said Lily

"Why thank you Lily" she stood up and give a bow "now , Oh hello there I'm Natina." she said to Stacey

"I'm Stacey Lily's cousin well sort of"

"Nice to meet you Stacey I'm Lily cousin too, most people call me Teeny though I don't know why!"

"You don't think it has to do with the fact that your 15 and the height of a 13 year old do you" Asked lily

"Oh my god you know what I think shes right" said Natina to Stacey

Stacey laughed, the rest of the trip was filled up with talk of what happened over the holidays and every now and the the compartment door would open and an other member of Lilly extended family would come in to say hello.

Eventually they reached Hogsmeade station Lily said bye to Stacey and showed her the way to Hagrid, not that see really need directions it wasn't as if she could miss him. Lily they got in a carriage with Sirius, Natina, Brian, David & Isabella.

Once everybody was in the Great hall for dinner the first year where brought in for the sorting there was only three people Lily was interested in Stacey, Louise and Kristy, the later where her cousins after all. Harry being the deputy principal read the names, Lily stomach was growling

"Dursley, Stacey" Called Harry

Stacey walk slowly to the chair and sat down Harry put the hat on her head there was silence for sometime then the rip opened up and yelled:

"RAVENCLAW"

Lily clapped for Stacey, Isabella on the other hand seemed to be going all out for her new house mates this year and ran down to cuddle her and take her to her seat. Lily felt a little bummed that Stacey wasn't in her house but hey see thought not everyone can be a Gryffindor, Final Harry was getting to the end of the list if Lily's stomach got much louder everyone would hear it

"Weasley, Kristy" called harry

"GRYFFINDOR" cried the hat

Lily's table erupted in cheers

"And last but by no means least Weasley, Louise" said Harry

"GRYFFINDOR" Cried the hat one last time.

"All right children we have some announcements to make" Said Professor McGonagall "firstly we have a new teacher with us this year as Madam Hooch retired last year I would like to introduce to you professor Ronald Weasley he will be taking over flying lesions and Quidditch match referring"

"And secondly enjoy your meal"

Then as always the table became full of food everybody ate as much as they could Professor McGonagall said something else but Lily didn't hear a word she was so tired, then all of a sudden everyone was leaving the great hall. So Lily got up and went to the Gryffindor tower when she got there she remembered nobody had told here the password oh No she thought oh well I'll just have to wait, Lily sat down with her back to the wall and closed her eye. A second later or so it seemed somebody was shaking her shoulder. Lily opened her eyes and was staring in to the most beautiful ice blue eyes she had every seen.

"lils are you all right" asked the owner of the eyes

Lily blinked and looked at the face that the eye belonged to Oh god though lily it was Mitchell

"Lils where you a sleep" asked Mitchell

"No" replied Lily " I was just resting my eyes until someone came along who knew the password"

"oh"

"You believe me then"

"Of course not but I'm your best friend I'm at least suppose to pretend I believe you come on lets go"

Mitchell help Lily off the floor

"Gillyweed" he said and the portrait opened and they went inside, Lily said good night and went to bed

Lily woke the next morning to a tapping on her window, she looked it was a small owl which she recognised immediately It was her cousin’s. Ehlana had thought it would be funny to call the owl Guess.

“Guess, what are you doing here,” she said as she opened the window. Guess, put out this foot and Lily removed the note and then opened it and began to read:

Dear Lily,
How was the train ride, I saw that Natina sent us off with a bang!
Now the reason for the letter is (now I know it’s a really big thing but please

Well thought Lily she needs help. Lily decided to have a shower get dressed the go have some breakfast. It was the first day of school and everyone needs a good feed before such a horrible event. As Lily was walking to the great hall she couldn’t help be think about the letter Ehlana had sent her. Ehlana was the same age as Lily, and was her Uncle Bill and Aunt Fleur’s oldest daughter. Ehlana had been sorted into Hufflepuff, which Ehlana had thought was the greatest thing that could happen, Lily remembered the conversation she had, had with Ehlana afterwards,

“Aren’t you upset” Lily had asked

“God no I love it “

“Um why”

“Well my dear sweet Lily it’s simple I’m not a genius so that puts out Ravenclaw, I’m not that brave so there goes Griffindor, and I don’t want power or to rule the world so no Slytherin for me, All I want is to be me and no one expects too much from a Hufflepuff so that suits me just fine”

Lily laughed to herself she was still thinking about it as she walked into the Great Hall most people where still in bed so the hall was quiet. As Lily was about to start to eat her scrambled eggs bacon and toast Mitchell sat down beside her

“Hi Lily how did you sleep last night” he asked

“Wonderful I was so tried”

“Good to hear, so how where your holidays?”

“Oh you won’t believe what happened…” Lily then went on to tell Mitchell all about Dudley, Stacey and the whole Sirius Isabella thing

“So you have to help me Mitch Please,” Lily begged

“Well I don’t know Lily maybe you should stay out of it maybe their just happy being in love and not saying anything to each other some people are like that you know”

“Are you kidding me, Mitch he’s been in love with her for a least 5 years now and she likes he back, wouldn’t you like to know if someone you’ve love that long like you back”

Mitchell went quiet for a bit, Lily looked at him the look on his face was one see had never seen before, it was so cute he seemed to be weighing up something in his head.

“Mitch are you ok?” Lily asked softly

“What, yeah I'm fine, I suppose your right I would like to know if a girl I’ve like that long felt the same way”

Lily squealed and kissed him on the cheek “You’re the greatest Mitch, You’re the best friend a girl could have”

Mitchell mutter something to himself and stabbed a egg with more then enough force, Lily however didn’t notice a thing she was to busy thinking of the first thing she had to do to get Sirius and Isabella together.

Soon breakfast was over and her dad was getting everybody’s timetable in order, when Harry got to Lily He said

“Miss Potter,” he very rarely used her name while they where at school something about favouritism

“Proffessor Potter,”

“I have your timetable, you have me first thing today”

“Right See you there then Sir”

“One moment please Miss Potter, I see here that you are taking History of Magic and for the life of me I can’t work out why!”

Lily leaned in close to her father “Well Daddy that’s easy I like to have naps in that class and if I forget to do my homework I have a whole lesson to do it in. I’m off to class now Sir I don’t want to be late I here that Proffessor Potter gets really mad if your not on time.”

Lily left her father standing there shaking his head and laughing at the same time

The day passed without anything worth reporting same lessions same teachers the only thing different was the homework there seemed to be way more of that the usual.

Lily meet up with Stacey to ask how her day had been

“It was unbelievable I learnt some much I’ve made loads of friend and I’ll really having a great time, but I’m a little hungry right now”

“Right you are” Lily laughed “Ok if you need me for anything just come find me or any of the Weasley’s they will be able to help or know where I am”

“Ok Lily thank you so much” Stacey said then turned around and joined her friends on the way to the great hall.

As lily was walking back from the great hall she ran into Isabella

“Isabella just the person I wanted to see”

“Why?” Isabella asked

“I just thought I should let you know, that I know how you feel about my brother”

“Well Lily I would kindly ask you to keep that to yourself please, nothing can come of it so don’t bother, I Know how he feels about me” she said as Lily was about to say something, “However nothing good could come of it, It would be more painful for the both of us, because as soon as he found out the truth about me he’d run away screaming, Now Lily I beg you please don’t talk about this to any one else”

“Ok Isabella your starting to scare me what is it about you we don’t know”

“That’s something Lily I pray you or anyone else for that matter never find out, Goodnight Lily” With that she left Lily standing there absolutely stunned

Lily was still trying to make sense of what Isabella had said when she arrived at the common room. Unfortunately she wasn’t getting anywhere. She sat down on one of the comfy chairs by the fire. Above the fire in a beautiful gold frame a man with long black hair slept or so it seemed. Lily stared off in to space.

“You know you really look like your grandmother”

Lily jumped the common room was empty, then there was a laugh that sounded like a bark

“Up here Lily, I’m sorry I didn’t mean to scare you” apologised the portrait of Sirius Black

“No, its cool I was thinking”

“I know Lily Senior used to get the same look on her face, now what’s the problem maybe I or one of the other paintings can shed some light on it.”

“Well I just had a talk with Isabella in the hall it was really weird she said that there was something no one knew about her and now I just have to know what it is”

“Of course it is only neural, wait here please, I’ll be right back” and without waiting for an answer her darted out of his picture. Lily sat there for about five minute and then Sirius came back, he was not alone however with him came James and Remus. (Authors note: don’t worry Remus is still live he is just somewhere else right now)

“Grandpa, Remus how is you”

“Never better,” replied Remus

“Can’t complaint” said James

“Ok so whom are we talking about”?

“Isabella grandpa”

“Yes Lily, but Isabella who?”

“I don’t know here last name, but she is Head Girl and in Ravenclaw”

“Thompson” Remus supplied

“What was that Moony” ask Sirius

“Thompson her name is Isabella Thompson”

“How do you know that?” James asked

“Well you see no one painted my wife into my portrait, or put me in a common room for that matter, so I get bored and go wandering I was in the head mistress office when she picked Isabella for head girl.”

Just then the common room door opened and Harry walked in

“Hello Lily dear have you see Sirius I need to speak to him”

Um, Which Sirius would that be” lily asked

“Your bother who else”

“Well that’s it Harry I’m hurt I can’t believe you would say something like that, do I mean nothing to you?”

Harry look up at the speaker

“If I wanted you I would have asked for padfoot wouldn’t I”?

“Oh nice save Harry” said Remus

“Thank you Moony” said Harry with a bow

“Now that aside would you like to tell me what’s going on, what are you lot up too,” Harry asked

“Nothing,” all four answered in unison

One of Harry eyebrows shot up

“Where just having a little get-together with old friends son”

“Right like the one you had in your portrait two nights ago dad?”

“That’s right,” replied James quickly

“Ok what ever do what you like.”

“Oh thank you, thank you, thank you,” said James

Harry shocks his head and was about to leave the room and then He turned to Lily

“Lily dear what ever it is about Isabella just let it go you don’t need to know otherwise she would have told you,”

“What, how do you know?”

“Well Lily dear I am a teacher and a world famous Hero, didn’t you know that we know everything” than with a wicked grin on his face Harry turned and left.

“Right, well I better be off to bed can I ask you three wonderful men if you can snoop around and see what you can find.”

“Well naturally we love a mystery as much as the next person,” said James with a grin

“Good night Lily”

“Night” she call back

Lily checked her watch, as she was getting ready for bed it was midnight. Lily land down on her bed and was a sleep in minutes. Lily’s dreams where filled with a face covered in shadows, and the beautiful icicles that formed on her window every winter.

Lily woke up the next morning to Natina jumping on her.

“Natina what do you want? And get off”

“Oh nothing I just wanted to let you know that your Prongs is downstairs with padfoot and he said to tell you that he has something to tell you”

Lily shoot out of bed and was downstairs in front of her grandfather in seconds

When Lily reacted the bottom of the stairs she saw James punching Sirius

"Grandpa what are you doing?"

"Playing" replied James

"Ok so what have you got for me?"

"Well I was having a snoop around the principals office, which is quite easy seeing as everyone one in there is a sleep...."

"James will you please get on with it" said Sirius

"Right sorry got a bit sidetracked there, anyway I found out that Isabella was adopted by a muggle family when see was a baby the file said that her biological parents are wizards but it doesn't give names, which is weird......"

"Um why is that" asked Lily

"Well ever since the frist time the camber of secrets was opened a full family history of witches and wizards is always kept" replied James

"yeah, so there would be warnings of the next what's his name.....wait...Voldersnot...no.....Volderwart.... .....Oh wait now I remember He Who Mush Not Be Named" add Sirius

Lily giggled "so how can we find out, its hopeless"

"Oh no my dear Lily nothing is hopeless" comforted Sirius "We can find out I'm sure leave it to us"

"Leave what to you" asked Lilly's older brother

"Nothing" all three said at once

"Right" said Sirius "If you don't move it Lilly you'll get no breakfast"

Lily walk to breakfast by herself so many questions, and all the good James snooping had done all he managed to do was raise more questions.

Well I would most likely have something to do with her family thought Lily but how can that be if she was adopted they how would she know anything about her real family, maybe she found out somewhere along the line, but why was everyone try so hard to keep family a secret. Oh this is no good thought Lily all I'm doing is giving myself headache. Lily sat down to breakfast and looking down the table she noticed a far few redheads, Then Mitchell sat down on the beach beside her.

"Lily I've been thinking and there is something I need to tell you"

"Mitch are you Ok you look white as a sheet"

"Fine but I need to tell you..................

"LILY" yelled Sirius Jr from the other end of the hall " Quidditch tryouts tonight at 6"

"Oh Thats wonderful you could be a chaser Like me of this will be great, but we need to go to class now we have Hagrid I wonder what he has for us today"

The care for magical creatures lesson went really well they learned about Hippogriff's Hagrid said that the would have seen them in there third year but said something about an "ruddy idiot" so they had to wait til there fifth year.

After class they all walk to histroy of magic for a nap. Then when Lily was feeling nice and refreshed she headed of to the Libary to check her homework. When she got there she noticed Isabella sitting at a desk by herself with a thick black leather book

"Hey Isabella how are you"

Isabella hide the book under the desk

"Oh Hi Lily how are you?"

"Great, what are you reading there?"

"Nothing important, Ummm.. got to go class you understand"

"Right" repiled Lilly

Isabella closed the book and put it in her book quickly and left. Lily however had seen the Title 'The Death-Eater and the horrors the committed'

Ok it's not long Please forgive me but I did post

Lily was worried, what on earth would Isabella be reading that book for I could ask dad he knows all about it no I can't he'd want to now why! oh I know Quidditch tryouts I'll ask Uncle Ron he'd know. thought Lily

Lily sat down to lunch in the Great Hall and started to eat, Mitchell sat down the the beach beside her

"Where have you been" he asked

"Oh I went to the library to check over my homework but I seen Isabella in there she was reading a book"

"No way how dare she and in the library of all place I mean what is the world coming too?"

"Ha ha very funny" Laughed Lily "But the important part is what she was reading it as a big black book called 'Death-Eaters and the horrors they committed' you have to admit that its a little strange I mean reading about death-eaters"

"Well, maybe it was for an assignment or something"

"Maybe" said Lily unconvinced "So what class do we have now?"

"Transfiguration" replied Mitchell "My worst subject"

"Right then lets get it over with"

And that they did, the class turned out to be not so bad, it was more of a refresher class, which of course must people needed cosidering most of what they had learnt the last year, had fallen out of there head over the holidays. After class Lily and Mitchell hung out in the common room until dinner. Then they made there way down to the Quidditch pitch.

Lily was sure that she would make the team this year for the last three years she had been one of the chasers she had tried out in her first year but had not made the term her dads record still stood, he was still the only person to be put on the term in there first year.

Sirius was standing in the middle of the field there was a big turn out this year

"Right everyone it's good to see so many come out to show term sprit, now first I would like to tell you that there is no need for a seeker until next year because that's my job" Yelled Sirius "Now what I need is for all those trying out for keeper to come over here now and we'll see how you go"

"Alright I'm off, if I don't try Dad will have a kitten" said Mitchell

"you'll do fine" Lily assured him

"Maybe wish me luck?"

Lily leaned over kissed his cheek "good luck Mitchell"

Mitchell walk away touching his cheek, However Lily missed it she was looking for someone. Then she seen he sitting in the stands.

"Professor?" she said to her uncle however he kept watching the tryouts

"Professor?" still no answer

"Uncle Ron"

"Yes Lily dear what's up"

"I was just trying to talk to you"

"You where? Oh sorry Lil's I thought you where talking to someone else the whole professor is new to me, what can I do for you?"

"Well I've got an assignment for History of Magic about the death-eaters and I was wondering well you where there, you would know what some of the stuff they did"

Ron look Lily right in the face Lily seen a great sadness in her uncles eye, maybe uncle Ron was the wrong person to ask Lily thought

"Well Lily" Ron said in a somber voice "Next to Voldemort the Death-Eater where feared beyond all things they where not heartless or mean they where evil they killed without care or cause, they torture people for the fun of it, all they wanted was power and the favor of Voldemort and they stop a nothing to get it the worst of who was Snape" Ron spat the name from his lips as if it stayed to long there it would contaminate him

"Oh" was all Lily could say she had not expected that form Uncle Ron of all people

"Hey isn't that your friend Lily"

Lily looked up Mitchell was guarding the goaled post like a lioness would her cubs, need less to say that Mitchell was the new keeper. Then it was Lily turn to prove that she belonged on the team, which of course was easy! After Lily had made it clear that she belonged she ran to Mitchell and hugged him.

"Congrats Mic I knew you could do it"

"That a hug and a kiss all in on day Lils careful it might go to my head"

Lily giggled wait why am I giggling she thought "Aren't you happy?"

"Yeah its great it's just that dads going to go about this for months I can hear him now, knew you could do it........told you it was in the blood"

"Poor poor Mitchell," said Lily and then she kissed him

Why did she do that Oh well she thought It felt nice

When Lily and Mitchell got back to the common room they saw something unusual to say the least Lily's grandmother was pacing in Sirius Portrait with no sign of Sirius

"Grandma" yelled Lily

"Oh hello, you haven't seen the dream team have you?" asked Lily (Sr) "No ones seem them all day,"

"No I haven't seen them but you can bet they're together" laugh Lily

"And up to now good" added Mitchell

Just then James followed by Sirius and Remus entered the portrait they where all laughing

"Where is it that you have been?" asked Lily (Sr)

"In the Headmasters office, but get this we weren't in trouble" s******ed James

"I think you are now Prongs" Said Remus with a quick look at Lily(Sr)

"Oh she loves me we where talking to Dumbledore dear" James told his wife "I'm sorry I should have told you I was going but you where sleeping, you look so beautiful I couldn't bear to wake you" the look on was complete sincerity and of course so fake

"Alright I can't stay mad at you anyway, I'm going to let Harry know you have been located, don't stay to long, Bye Lily & Mitchell and congrats on making the team" call Lily as she walk from the frame

"Bye and thanks" called Lily & Mitchell after her

"You know something I really need to learn how you do that Prongs" said Remus

"Do what my dear Moony?"

"What you just did to Lily, you got her to stop being mad at you with one comment"

"Moony, Moony, Moony, when will you learn if there mad at you always side with them admit your a prat say some nice things about them and then their happy"

"That was insightful but lets tell Lily what we found out" Said Sirius

"Oh right," said James "Lily you need to seat down for this"

"I already am grandpa"

"Right you are how did I miss that, Ok for the earth shattering news......"James said dramatically "You look like your Grandmother there I said it shocking isn't"

Mitchell laugh so hard he fell of his chair, Lily just shock her head

"Did you find anything about Isabella" she asked giving Mitchell a kick in the ribs

"Well....... We found out that her Parents are dead but Dumbledore wouldn't tell us there names," said Remus

"But where working on it" added Sirius after seeing the look on Lily's face

"Thanks guys I think I'm go do my homework and go to bed Night!"

"Night" they all yelled

As Lily was going up the stairs she hear Sirius say goodbye to Moony & Prongs then she heard him talking to someone else

"So, have you told her yet" Sirius asked

"No," came Mitchells voice "I went to But I chickened out so I told I was try out for Keeper instead" Lily heard Mitchell sigh

"It's ok you know all you have to do is tell her"

"Yeah, I know it's just the words seem to get stuck, Oh well I have some stuff to do Night Sirius, Thanks for your help"

"Your welcome, Night"

Lily went to her room wondering what that was about

Stacey sat in the Ravenclaw common room with her firends doing their Defence Against The Dark Arts homework. I have to get this right she thought, just then the common room door opened and Isabella the head girl walk in Stacey really like Isabella she was always willing to help with anything no matter how busy.

Isabella sat down on a chair in front of the fire. She always looks so sad thought Stacey. There was a sadness Stacey understood all to well the lost of a parent is bad enough but Isabella had told Stacey she had lost both, however there was something else there, it wasn't loss it was longing. For some reason tears started to form in Stacey's eyes.

"Stacey, are you ok" asked one of her firends

At this comment Isabella truned around and looked straight at Stacey who then burst into tears. Isabella got up walk over to Stacey cuddled her. She is so nice thought Stacey, as they walk to Isabella's Room. When they got there they sat on Isabella's bed.

"Ok Stacey what's wrong you where fine when I walk in" Asked Isabella softly

"You'll think I'm stupid"

"No I won't just tell me"

Stacey stopped crying wipe her face, looked Isabella straight in the face and said "Who is it you want so bad and why can't you have them"

Isabella stared at her for a few moments and smiled " I now see why you are in this house, I don't think this is really something that I should he talk about with a frist year however"

"But Isabella your so sad you have to talk to someone, You and Sirius are friends talk to him then but please talk to som......."Stacey broke off looked at Isabella's face and said "It's him isn't it"

Isabella smiled "Stacey I think it's time for you to finish your homework and go to bed"

And with that Stacey was lead but to the common room to complete her homework.

About three weeks later Lily was woken up by Aussie tapping on the window

"Lily shut that bird up or I'll punch you" said Natina form the other side of the room

lily opened the window Aussie came in and landed on the bed lifted his leg Lily took the letter, then he left. As Lily opened the note she was surprised to she her cousins handwriting:

DEAR LILY,
I NEED YOUR HELP WITH SOMETHING PLEASE MEET ME AT THE LAKE TODAY AT 12:00

LOVE STACEY

That was weird thought Lily but if she needs my help I'll do what I can.

Ladies and Gentleman, boys and girls...........(drum roll)....... My next post



Lily was sitting in the common room at about 9:30 seeing as it was a Saturday and had nothing better to do, she was wondering about Stacey's letter. Lily looked up and noticed the Sirius wasn't in his frame. Just as she wondering where he was her older brother walk in.

"My dear sister, how are you?"

"Sirius can you ever be.............." Lily fumbled looking for the right word

"Serious" supplied Sirius "everyday, what's up Lily you look blue"

Lily looked at her brother and sighed

"Why so big a sigh, Lils that is differently not like you" Lily was shocked to find real concern in his voice

"How can you do it?" Lily asked

"do what" Sirius asked baffled

"you know the whole Isabella thing you like her, she likes you. But you would do anything about it" it was about then that Lily realized she had never said anything to Sirius about Isabella Liking him. So she was unprepared for the reaction. instead of jumping around happy the girl of his dreams liked him, Sirius face showed something Lily had never seen before, sadness

"You knew she like you all along didn't you" demanded Lily

"Yes" it was no more then a whisper, Sirius was talking to the floor.

Why didn't you do something about it doesn't she mean anything to you at all..... and for crying out loud will you look at me" Lily regretted the last part immediately. Sirius had tears in his eyes and one tear drop was half way down his cheek. Sirius was crying her big brother the guy nothing upset was crying!!!!!!!!

"Lily, Isabella means more to me then you can ever imagine, I've loved her for five years nothing will change that no matter what, Isabella has so much to deal with, I'm not going to add to that stress I love her to much to do that to her"

"Sirius, but don't you think she might need your help to get thought what ever it is coursing the stress" Lily asked softly

"I can't help her Lils," There was such pain in his voice "I have no idea what its like to grow up without my parents, with people who hate me!"

"Ummm... Sirius, Dad knows"

Sirius jumped up so quickly Lily thought he would go thought the roof

"Lily I love you!" and Sirius ran form the room returning long enough to hug Lily then run off again

Lily feeling proud of herself checked her watch 11:30, perfect time to meet Stacey. Lily made her way down to the lake as she got there she noticed that Stacey was not alone. Standing next to Stacey was Brian and David

"Oh no, what are you up to" asked Lily

"Nothing" The three of them said in unison

"Right, and I'll going to be head boy some day too." said Lily

"I need your help Lily" said Stacey

"I know that's why I'm here" replied Lily

"Are you going to Hogsmeade next Saturday?" asked Stacey quickly

"Yes, Why?"

"Well can you get some stuff for me, I wrote a list"

"What's the stuff for?" asked Lily

"Presents for home" Stacey answered a little to quickly

"Oh, alright give me the list"

"Your the best thanks Lilly," cried Stacey hugging her and handing her the list" Ummmm... Lily can I borrow the money for the stuff off you until Christmas"

Lily stared at Stacey for a minute then laughed "Sure why not"

"Thanks"

"We have to go Stacey" said Brian

"where do you have to go" asked Lily

Lily got three different answers to that question

"Hagrid's" said David

"Lunch" said Brian

"Library" Said Stacey

Lily looked at the three of them

"I don't want to know" And with that she turned around and went to the great hall for lunch knowing full well she WOULD NOT see her twin brothers or her cousin there.

Isabella was walking down the hallway to Professor Potters office, when she was about three step away the door opened. Professor Potter stepped out.

"Oh there you are Isabella, I thought you might of been lost" he said with a smile

Sirius has the same smile she thought, now that she thought about Sirius did look a bit like his dad,

"Am I in trouble Sir" Isabella asked

"Oh no, I just wanted too talk to you, If that is Ok of course"

"Right"

"Let's go inside then shall we"

Isabella had never been in this office before. On the opposite wall near the window was a huge portrait that coved half the wall, In gold lettering on the frame was a sign saying Mum & Dad. The occupants where sitting under what looked like the huge oak near the lake sleeping. there was a small table up against the nearest wall with cakes and tea set out. In tanks a jars around the room was all sorts of weird a wonderful creatures.

"Sit down Isabella, Have a cup of tea and some cake"

"Yes, sir"

Isabella sat at the table and poured herself a tea. Harry sat down across form her, made himself a tea and looked straight at her

"Right Isabella I will get straight to the point, I had a visit form a student today who wishes to remain nameless, This student is very concerned about you........"

"Sirius" said Isabella "He's the only one who would, Oh sir I'm so sorry he brought you on to this I know he has a crush on me he is so obvious sometime"

"Well, that because he's a Potter we do have trouble hiding it when we care for some one"

"That rubbish and you know it, your mother had no idea I was in love with her" said James

"No James I was completely clueless with all the asking me on dates and the rest of it, I had no clue" said Lily

"All that is beside the point Isabella, Sirius is not the only one who is concerned the teachers are also worried about you. Did something happen on the holiday what you want to talk about"

Isabella sat there for a full ten minutes before answering

"Yes Sir, I found out who my family was" and with that she bust in to tears

"Why don't you start at the begin" said harry softly

"Well........................................

Isabella looked at Harry with tears in her eyes

"Sir over the holidays I was working at St Mungo's and I really wanted to know who I was"

"That's understandable" said Harry softly

"Well sir I went looking for my file, I thought that it would have my parents names in it, I knew my father was a wizard so I was sure I was born there. As it turned out I was born there and my mother and fathers names where there, Sara & Jacob........"

"What is it Isabella? I can tell there is more"

"Sir my Grandparents names where there too, Arabella & Severus " Isabella noticed Harry face go deathly pale

"Snape?" asked Harry already knowing the answer

Isabella couldn't talk she only nodded she was so scared of Harry's reaction that she was stunned when looking at him she noticed that colour had returned to his face and if she wasn't much mistaken there was a faint smile

"Sir, I've know for a while that my parents where supporter if Voldermont, But I had know idea that HE was related to me, What am I going to do if this gets out no one will ever speak to me" and with that Isabella started to cry all over again.

Harry sat and wait for the crying to subside before speaking

"Isabella, I will not lie to you if this information was to get out it would be hell on earth for you. However you must understand that your blood line doesn't make you who you are. I was once told by a very wish man that is the choices me make that define us." after a quick look at Isabella's face, a knowing smile spread across Harry face. "You don't believe me?, I think you should talk to Sirius Black, he understood it's not the blood."

"You think I should go on not telling anyone then Sir"

"Well I think this is a very heavy burden to carry, So if I was you, I might tell someone else, to lighten the load a bit there are people who will care about no matter what"

"Should I tell Sirius Sir?"

" That is up to you, do you think you could handle him knowing?" Harry asked smiling

"I think if any one should know its Sirius"

"There you go then!"

"I think I should tell his first thing in the morning it's a little late now Sir"

"What ever you think is best Isabella"

With that Isabella got up and walked to the door when she got there, she turned back to Harry

"Thank you so much for listening to me Sir, I feel so much better now"

"No problem"

Then she left, on her way back to her room humming softly to herself.

The next morning Sirius Potter was sitting under the oak tree near the lake. It just happened to be the same tree that was in the portrait of his grandparents in his fathers office. He was reading over his essay for Defense Against The Dark Arts, when he notice Isabella walk towards his.His heart jumped into his chest and his stomach start training for the circus. She sat down beside him.

"I need to talk to you" she said softly

"Alright" Sirius said putting down his essay

"I need you to just listen you can ask questions at the end, but I can't stop and start or I'll never finish"

"No problem"

Then she told him everything she knew about her family, everything that she had thought would end any chances of Sirius her ever getting together.

"That's what you had to tell me" he asked

"Yes I had to tell some one your dad agreed that it most likely wouldn't be a good idea to tell the world but we...... I thought that I could tell you"

"Wow, you know I knew something was wrong, I'm so glad I listened to Lily"

"Lily, what does she have to do with this" asked Isabella

"Well, yesterday I was talking to Lily and you came up in the conversation, it was Lily who suggested I talk to my Dad"

"So I owe Lily and you big time" Isabella said with a smile

"That's easy come with me to hogsmeade next weekend."

"What about Lily, maybe I should buy her something, do you have any ideas"

"Me" Sirius sounded shocked "No way, why do you think I pay her mate Mitchell to buy her presents every year, She loves those presenrs so much last year 'I' bought her this necklace..... " there was a twinkle in Sirius eyes and grin on his face that told the whole world he was up to no good.

"Oh no what" asked Isabella a little scared

"It's to perfect."

"What Sirius"

"I know the prefect why to pay Lily back for everything she's done"

"So....what is"

"Get her a boyfriend"

"Oh Sirius that is just brilliant.

Lily was in a bad mood everything seemed to have gone wrong since Sunday, when she had been call into her dad office it had not been a nice meeting and at the moment she was more then a little hurt by her Grandfather, for telling on her.

"Now Lily I want you to stop try to find out about Isabella is that clear, it has nothing to do with you now stay out of it do you understand" her father had told her

"I'm not" she had replied

"Oh really then how is that I know you have had your grandfather, padfoot and moony helping you"

At that point Lily had no choice but to admit what she had been up to and promise to stop. Which she had done just that, not wanting make her dad cross.

If that hadn't been bad enough Mitchell's dad had arrived at the school on the Wednesday, and told Mitchell he was going to some country for the rest of the week with his family. All because his dad played for the English quidditch team. Lily really liked Mitchell's dad, Oliver. Just sometimes she wish he wasn't so demanding.

It was now Saturday Lily was eating breakfast felling sorry for herself and wondering what she was going to do at Hogsmeade. When Sirius sat down beside her.

"Hey, sis what are you doing at Hogsmeade today" he asked

"Oh I don't know I have to get a few things then I might just come back and read a book"

Sirius stop in the act of pouring himself a drink " you read a book, are you Ok?"

"No, something is wrong and I can't put my finger on it"

"Go ask Mitchell he know you better then you do"

"I can't" said Lily sadly "He's not here Mr. Woods came and pick him up, so he could go watch the England Vs who-ever match"

"Oh dam it"

"Why are you so upset" asked Lily

"Oh, I was going to have Quidditch practice tomorrow, I think I talk to dad he knows Mr. Woods pretty well maybe he can convince him Mitchell needs to stay at school"

"Don't hold your breath Mitchell been trying to convince him for the past 5 years" Lily laughed knowing that Quidditch had nothing to do with why Sirius was upset Mitchell wasn't there.

With that she got up and went to Hogsmeade by herself.

Lily notice straight away that Hogsmeade was nowhere near as much fun by herself. After a quick butter beer Lily decided to get the things on Stacey list and go back to school. Most of the thing on the list where lolies of some sort or another which Lily assumed was for Stacey family, it was the last thing on the list that worried Lily. written on the bottom of the not was:

Can you please pick up the package at Fred & Georges shop for me.

That was scary. The package wasn't very large about the size of a small lunchbox but just because it was small didn't mean it couldn't course a huge mess!!!

Sirius was walking next to Isabella around Hogsmeade it felt great he was so happy that she had final told him what it was that was causing her to be distant. In the past week they had become real close friends. It was about now that Sirius wonder if close friends held hands. Then with a confidence he did not feel he took Isabella's hand. It was a little cold.

"your hand is cold" he noted

Isabella went to pull it away

"No, it's ok Belle, I'll warm it up for you "

"What did you call me?" she asked softly

"Belle why"

"I like it"

"Well then my dear that is what I shall call you" said Sirius

"Are you making fun of me?"

"Never, I would never make fun of you" he even made it sound believable

"So who are we going to set you sister up with then"

"My dear Belle, that would be Mitchell of course"

"Why of course"

"Well he has been in love with her since he first meet her on the train to Hogwarts"

Sirius put his arm around Isabella's waist he really didn't want to talk about his sister.

Lily was tried The Quidditch match against Slytherin was tomorrow and Sirius had the team practicing everyday for the past two weeks. The team was awesome Lily thought that Mitchell was an even better keeper then his dad, Sirius was the best seeker that Gryffindor had seen since their dad. The chasers Gabi (a sixth year), Suellen (a third year) and of course Lily could do no wrong, the beaters Jasmine & Nathan ( both four years) where parallel Fred and George in there skill. Lily was confident there was no way they could lose. It was with that in mind that Lily laid on her bed and fell deep into a dreamless sleep.

The next morning dawned cold and clear. There was a thick blanket of snow, after all it was winter and Christmas was coming, only a week away. Everyone was in the Great Hall for breakfast before the big game. the noise coming form the Gryffindor table was deafening. When the first people had finished and started to leave the Hall the doors slammed shut.

All noise stopped everyone looked at the doors students tried to open them but nothing worked they would no open. It was about then people started to worry! Then with no warning there was a loud bang and a flash of gold light, most people including the teachers hit the floor. when the light was gone the Gryffindors roared at what the saw.

Slytherins who had been moment before been wearing green the Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws who had been wearing normal school robes. Now where all wear Gold robes, and held Gryffindor support flags. Not only that but floating up never the ceiling was a hug banner which read:

SIRIUS POTTER FOR MINISTER

in huge red letters.

Most of the students found this funny. The Slytherins however did not take it well especially when they noticed that no matter what they did they could not change there robes back or get the flags out of there hands.

After a quick glace at her brothers and Stacey, Lily knew who had done it. The three of them where rolling on the floor laughing. Unfortunately Professor Potter and McGonagall also know who do it. Lily gave her dad credit he only lost control and let himself smile once.

"Lily come on we have to go get moving" Yelled Sirius as he hurried thought the door

Lily love her brother, but boy could he be high strung.

After a quick half-an-hour peep talk by Sirius the team was dressed and ready to go. Ron was waiting.

"Shake hands captains" Professor Ron yelled

"Mount your brooms"

Lily couldn't wait to get stated. Professor Ron blow his whistle and they where off. All the training of the past two weeks came in to play. Working like a well oiled machine the Gryffindor Team had scored three time before the Slytherins even seen a Quaffle. Play started to get a bit rough after six attempts at the goals by the Slytherins where blocked by Mitchell, and Gryffindor scored another four goals.

But before it could get to bad Sirius dived towards the ground and before Slytherins seeker had notice what had happened, Sirius had the Snitch the match was over Final score two hundred and twenty to nil.

Needless to say the party in the Gryffindor common room was long and loud!

It was soon time to go home for Christmas, everyone was packed and ready to go. The only person Lily had to say good bye to was Mitchell she would see everyone else over the Holidays they where family after all. Looking every where Lily could not find Mitchell. when she did find him it was in the North tower talking to some girl Lily couldn't really see. When Mitchell saw her he jump six feet in the air and the girl ran. All Lily saw was that she was blonde.

"Who was that?" Lily demanded hotly,

"Oh just a friend, what's up" Mitchell asked trying to sound casual

Lily was mad she had no idea way she was mad, but that didn't matter all see could think was How Dare He, How Dare He

"Just a friend hey, then why did she run off like that then" Lily still had no idea why she was so mad.

"Lily, yes she is just a friend, and I have no idea why she ran off"

Whatever, I'm going home soon I wanted to say goodbye, So bye" and with that Lily stormed off. She knew he would come after her. So she hide in the first class room she could find. Not even a minute later she hear Mitchell run pass the door. As soon as he was gone Lily pulled the door open ran to her fathers office yanked open the door.

"Dad, I want to go home now, please can I floo?" she begged

Harry was startled, he looked at his baby girl saw the tears in her eyes and said

"Of course baby girl, I'll bring your things with me"

"Thank you Daddy"

Lily cuddled her father and ran to the fireplace grabbed some floo powder and yelled 'Potter Manor'. With in seconds she was looking at her startled mother. That was it Lily started to cry

"Mummy" she wailed

"What is it dear" asked Ginny softly

"He's in love with her mum" Lily Cried

"Oh dear" said Ginny " I thick we need so hot chocolate"

And with that she took her sobbing daughter into the kitchen

"I never said who it was" said Lily

"You didn't need to, I've seen this all before, Well I lived thought it actually. It was your Uncle's best friend I made a fool out of myself in front of though"

"So what happened to the best friend did you date at all before you started dating dad"

Ginny laughed. Lily loved that laugh no matter how sad or upset she was her mothers laugh made here feel better

"What so funny" asked Lily

"The best friend was you father dear"

Oh," then Lily began to laugh

Just then the fire place in the other room came to life and Harry Potter Hogwarts teacher, head of Gryffindor house, Father, Hero of the wizarding world and all round nice guy, fell thought the fire place and on to the floor. Jumping up and dusting himself off Harry looked around the room he could hear laughing form the kitchen, Always a good sign.

Harry walk into the kitchen, no matter how old Lily was she would always be his baby, and seeing her in upset was something he just couldn't stand. He noticed Ginny had made some hot chocolate. Harry couldn't understand how Ginny always knew exactly what was needed to make anything better.

"How are you feeling Lily?" he asked

"I was just being silly dad I'm sorry if I worried you, I'm fine" replied Lily

Harry knew Lily was not telling the truth, but decided to let her come to him when she was ready. like she did ever other time. Harry decided to make it easy for her. He kissed his wife and daughter and went into his study and closed the door. Sure enough not 2 minutes later the was a knock at the door.

"Come in Lily" he said grinning

"How did you know it was me" she asked opening the door

"Lily, your the only one home besides your mum, and your the only one who knocks"

"Can I talk to you, Daddy"

"Of course, what's on your mind"

" Well, ........ How did you know you where in love with Mum?"

"Let me think.... oh I remember I was coming back form Quidditch with your Uncle Ron, we went to go up a case of hidden stairs and then, Bang, there was your mother snogging, I must say that it took me by complete surprise to find out just how much I liked your mother."

"What did you do then?" Lily asked. Harry realized he had never told anyone about that moment before not even Ginny.

"Well," Harry went on "It was hard, I was fighting with myself a lot, that and I had no idea what your uncle would say, he however took it rather well, In the end I just walked up to her and kissed her."

"Just like that?" asked Lily shocked

"Just like that" said Harry "If you think that was weird, your Aunt & Uncle got together in the middle of an argument it was quite funny actually"

"Who"

"Aunt Hermoine & Uncle Ron of course"

"Lily you have a letter" called Ginny from the kitchen

"Ok I 'm coming" cried Lily

Harry watched his daughter get up and started to walk to the door. When she got there see turned ran to him gave him a hug and a kiss and said

"I love you dad"

"Yes dear I know, I love you too" replied Harry

And with that Lily left the room leaving Harry alone at his desk

Lily sat on her bed. She knew who the letter was from now all she had to do was read it. Slowly she opened the envelope then took out the parchment and begin to read:

DEAR LILY,
I AM SORRY IF YOU ARE UPSET. BELIEVE ME I HAVE NO IDEA WHY YOU WOULD BE. BUT YOU WHERE SO MY BEST GUESS IS THAT IT WAS MY FAULT. UNFORTUNATELY I WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO COME STAY THIS CHRISTMAS DAD IS INSISTING ON A FAMILY CHRISTMAS NOBODY IS GETTING OUT OF IT, I'M SO SORRY. PLEASE LET ME KNOW THAT YOU ALL RIGHT OR I'M GOING TO WORRY ABOUT YOU ALL HOLIDAYS. ALRIGHT I HAVE TO FINISH PACKING I JUST WANTED TO SEND THIS OFF FIRST. IF I DON'T SEE YOU BEFORE, I'LL SEE YOU BACK AT HOGWARTS.

Lily was so confused she had no idea what to do, deep down inside herself she was glad Mitchell wasn't coming for Christmas I would give her time to think.

A few hours later the rest of the Potters arrived home. However there where two extras, Stacey who was staying for a day or two until her father got back form "out of town", and Isabella who as far as Lily could work out was staying all holidays. After dinner Lily went outside to THINK. This however was hard, considering Sirius and Isabella who had not seen Lily where talking about three feet away. Lily gave up on thinking a decided to listen, besides it was more fun.

"On the holidays I found out that my real last name is Snape, Severus Snape was my grandfather"

" oh my" said Lily "Isabella why did you say was?"

"Because he's dead isn't he" retorted Sirius

"I think you need to talk to dad about that"

"Why" asked Isabella Lily noticed the colour slowing draining for her face

"Isabella I can not tell you how I know, so please don't asks" begged Lily "But Severus Snape is not dead he's in Azkaban"

"How can that be?" asked Isabella she was now as white as a sheet

"Please Isabella I promised I would never tell how I can't brake that promise, please don't ask me to just go talk to dad he can tell you" there where tears in Lily's eyes as she spoke

"At least I know my secret is safe with you Lily" Isabella smiled and walked into the house leave Sirius stunned and Lily fighting back tears

Harry sat in his study grading DADA essay. There was a knock at the door

"Come in" he said without looking up

"Sir can I talk to you please"

"Of course Isabella, but outside of school please call me Harry" final Harry looked up, he saw immediately that something was very wrong "Isabella what is it? your as white as a ghost, what happened?"

"I was outside just now talking to Sirius, Lily was there too. I decide to tell her about my family, when I had finished Lily told me I should come and see you."

"Did she say why" asked Harry unsure why Lily would say that

"Yes see did" Isabella paused "She wouldn't tell me how she now but Lily told me that Severus Snape is not dead, is it true Harry did you truly let one of the worst Death eaters live?" there was a note of accusation in her voice

Harry sighed he knew he would have to tell Isabella as soon as he had found out about it. But he wanted to give her a little more time.

"It is true Isabella, He is still alive, please understand I had every intention of telling you but you had only just found out about your family, I didn't want to added to that burden. I see now that I was wrong if you would like I will tell you everything I know"

"Please Si............Harry, I really want to know"

"Very well then, At the end of the war, when all of the fighting was over. Neville Longbottom came to me. He told me that he had captured Snape then he proceeded to tell me that killing him was something he just could not do. I understand, that killing him like that would make us no better then him. That was when it was decided that he would be sent to Azkaban where he would live out the remainder of his life."

"But why, prison is no where near as bad as dead"

"Don't you see, dead is what he wanted, what we did was worst by far then anything else we left him with nothing but the screams of all the people he had killed and their loved ones to keep him company. Believe me he suffers every second of every day for what he did."


there was a long silence, Harry looked at Isabella and watch many emotions ran across her face, final ending in determination

"I want to see him"

"I beg you pardon" it was Harry's turn to go pale

"I want to see him, I need answers, I want to know why, I have to understand"

"Isabella, what you are asking is something I must strongly advise against"

"Harry, Please I need answers" Isabella almost cried "Can you arrange it? and would you please go with me?"

"Isabella, do you understand what you are asking me to do?"

"Yes I do, but please I beg you will you do it"

"I will try, I will make no promises but I will try"

"Thank you" was all Isabella said and then left to study

Harry took out a quill and parchment and wrote a letter to the Minster of Magic to inform him of Isabella's request, deep down hoping that he would never have to look at the man who still to this day haunted his dreams.

It was Christmas morning. Lily awoke to the noise of an owl,she had never see before, tapping on her window. In it's beck it held a flower a single prefect white Lily. Lily opened the window took the flower and smelled it, it was beautiful smelling like it had just been picked. Then she took the note, the owl left her by herself to read:

My Dearest Lily,

Merry Christmas

The flower you now hold in your hand is very special, there is no other like it. I'm sure by now you realize the smell, that well NEVER fade nor will the petals wilt. For the rest of your life you will always have one prefect flower, even it the middle of winter.

As Lily stared at the letter trying to place the handwriting she heard yelling form downstairs. Although the she couldn't make out the words, she know it was her brothers yelling to open peasant. Knowing that if she didn't get down stairs so there would be a riot. Lily got dressed and carrying her flower, and the note went down stairs.

"It's about time, we thought you where going to sleep all day" said David & Brian in unison

"What have you got there Lily?" asked her mother

Lily did hear her brothers or her mother she was still thinking of the letter and the flower held firmly in her hand

"Lily" called Ginny

"What" said Lily as she jumped six feet in the air

"What are you holding" Ginny pressed

"A flower, it's a Lily mum" replied Lily

"Dad I think she's lost it" Said Sirius

"Do you mind Sirius" Shot Ginny, as she glared at all the boys as if daring them to laugh "How did you get it dear"

"Owl" for some reason most of Lily's Vocabulary was gone

The boys and Harry where giggling behind their hands, Isabella looked a little worried, and Ginny just had a look of knowing on her face.

"Did it come with a note" she asked

"Yeah" Lily could not believe how smart her mum was, it was like she could read her mind. Lily handed her mother the note. Ginny read it, the smile on he face getting larger as she read. When she had finished Ginny put the note near the portrait of Lily and James Potter, so Lily (sr) could read it. Then Ginny handed her a cup of hot chocolate. As Lily sipped the drink she start to come out of the trance she had been in since the moment she had read the note.

"Can we open some presents now PLEASE Dad?" begged the twins

"If your sister is feeling OK" replied Harry

"Yeah, I'm fine" Lily said from the other side of the room.

"ok lets get down to business then" said Harry as he started passing out presents.

It was a good haul this year, Lily had got loads of presents the gift from Sirius was beautiful, it was a bracelet to match the necklace he had got her the year before. They both where sliver chains with a delicate Lily charm. they had a blue Topaz (Lily's favorite stone) in the centre of the flower. Her parents had bought her a gorgeous watch with Topaz's where the numbers would normal be. The twin had as usual raid their Uncles joke Shop and given Lily a package full of joke wand and other things. The two that surprised Lily the most was Isabella's and Mitchell's gifts. Isabella had with true style, proceeded to give the anklet to match Sirius's gift. Mitchell had given her a set of books by her favorite muggle athour.

Harry sat in the garden the sun had long since gone down. It had been a wonderful day filled with family and loved ones. As well as a few surprises, the biggest surprise came at lunch when Dudley, Aunt Petunia and Stacey had arrived for Christmas.

"Where is Vernon" Harry had asked

"At home" was all his Aunt had said. Sensing she didn't want to talk about it, Harry had let the matter drop.

Harry had been staring at the sky,for a full minute' before he realized what he was seeing. flying towards him like a ghost was Hedwig. She landed on the arm of his chair and dutifully raised her leg. Harry removed the note, his heart racing as he saw the Ministers crest on the envelope. Slowly Harry opened the letter and read:

Dear Mr. Potter (sorry Harry, it is an official letter after all)

I must say I had to read your letter a few time before I believed what it was say. I have great concerns that what you have requested is a huge mistake. ( are you nuts!!!!) However I am going to trust that you know what you are doing.

The prisoner will be moved to the Ministry on the 27th of December at 3:00pm. As I don't think it would be a good idea to subject Isabella or you to the presents of Dementors. If you would be so kind as to come to my office before seeing HIM. I will come with you.

Harry reread the letter 5 times before going inside to tell Isabella what was going happen.

Ok my dear fans, Now I won't say that because of nobi_fawkes this post has had all its mistakes fix and it make sence, I also won't say how wonderful she is for doing it because that would embrass her, and I wouldn't want that . with that being said time for the new post.....




The day of the 27th dawned clear and cool. Isabella had been awake for hours. Today was the day she would get answers to the questions she had been asking for years. Like who was her father? Why did nobody know him? Why had Snape done what he had? Sirius and Harry came down stairs at about 7 o'clock. Isabella couldn't help but notice Sirius looked worried and upset.
The latter being expected considers he and Isabella had had a fight the night before. Isabella had told Sirius he was not coming, to which he had gone completely nuts. The fight had only stopped when Lily had come in and told them to "cool it". Isabella didn't want to think about it, so she looked at the man who was going with her. Harry looked drawn, looking like he hadn't slept since he had got the note from the Minister.

"Harry, are you ok?" She asked.

"Yes, I'm fine," was all he said.

The house was very subdued all morning. At around lunch Ginny told Isabella to get ready to leave. Isabella sat in the Living room with Sirius.

"I don't see why I can't go too, what if you need me?"

"You'll just have to wait until I get back."

"Fine."

"Sirius, don't you see what will happen if your there?" begged Isabella she really didn't want to fight with him.

"I really don't care," Sirius got up walked over and kneeled in front of Isabella "I love you Isabella, with all that I have and all that I am; I don't care what could happen. All I know is that it will upset you. I can't bare the thought of you upset and me not there."

Tears in her eyes, Isabella leant down and kissed him, "I love you too. Are you ready to go then?"

"Yes, so you want me to come?"

"No, I need you to come… but please can you stay outside when I go in to talk to him?"

"If that’s what you want."

At that moment Harry walked into the room a small smile crossing his face.

"Are we ready to go?"

"Yes." said Isabella & Sirius in unison.

"Ok let’s go then, we are early but the Minister wants to speak to us first. We will floo into his office lets go."

In three flashes of green light they where standing in the office of the Minister of Magic, Remus Lupin. Isabella had never meet the minister before, but it seemed like he and Harry where good friends.

"Harry, how are you?" the minister asked.

"A little tired, you?"

"Fine, fine. Now a few things before we go to the prisoner there can only be two people in the room at any one time. So of course Isabella will be one." Remus turned to look at Isabella. "Harry or I must be the other it is up to you."

"Sir, can Harry come with me, please?"

Isabella noticed that Harry didn't look happy with her decision at all.

"Right well let’s get this all over with." said Lupin.

They followed the Minister to the elevator, after everyone filed in; Remus pressed the level nine button. Isabella heard a sharp intake of breath behind her, turning she saw that Harry looked extremely shaken. Remus seemed to have noted this too.

"It's ok we're going to the trial rooms on Level ten." was all he said.

Harry's face relaxed a little. It seemed like forever but it must have only been two minutes at the most, when the cool voice told them they had arrived at level nine. The grill clattered open and the left the elevator. Walking for a little way towards a door which Harry would not like, they turned left and went down a flight of stairs.

"Not room ten I hope." Harry laughed.

Isabella spun round all trace of any of the worry and fear that had plagued Harry's face for the last two days where gone. He just winked at her.

"No, No room two, where is it oh here it is." said Remus.

Isabella's stomach fell to her feet; she started to shake all over. What was she doing? She must be insane. Sirius grabbed her arm as she was about to run screaming.

"It's ok, dad will be with you and I'll be right here waiting for you." he whispered and then kissed her on the cheek.

Isabella took a deep breath and opened the door.

Isabella looked at the man, if you could call him that chained to the chair in the middle of the room. His hair was no longer greasy or black, but a lifeless white that hung limply around his face. Looking at his face, it was not hard to see he was unhealthily thin, with cheekbones and eyes sunken into the sockets. The eyes however where alert, there was sadness deep in them but the dominant emotion was hatred which was all directed at the man standing behind her, Harry.

"What do you want? Weren’t you happy to let me rot in peace?" snarled Snape.

"I haven't given you the slightest thought since they locked you up, personally I was happy forgetting you existed at all," spat Harry with contempt.

"What do you want?" Snape snarled once more.

"I wanted to talk to you," Isabella said softly.

Snape's eyes fell on Isabella for the first time and once more all she wanted to do was run. Then something happened that she had in no way anticipated, the eyes that where boring in to her softened, and a faint smile touched his lips.

"You look like your grandmother. What's you name?"

"Isabella," it was no more then a whisper.

"I guess you had to see if everything your father has told you about me, and no doubt with the company you keep you're be told I am a monster," Snape said sadly.

"My father is dead."

"What!" exclaimed Snape. He rounded on Harry "You killed him didn't you?" he demanded though clenched teeth

"No, Severus in truth I had no idea that you had a son or that you had ever been married."

"That's why I'm here," started Isabella softly. "I don't know anything about him our my mother and your the only one who can answer my questions."

"What do you want to know?" asked Snape there was a solitary tear in his left eye.

"Why does no one know my father?"

"He went to school in America he's a… umm..... Was two years older then him." he shot a look a Harry "Your grandmother died when he was 5, so I sent him to school away from Hogwarts I didn't want him to go to the same school I was a teacher at. When he was at school he met your mother. She was beautiful and so sweet when they came home; life was bearable for a few months. Then I did something that forever dashed any chances of having my family in one place. Your mother and father went in to hiding. That is about all I can tell you. But you must know that your parents where good people and would have loved you dearly."

"You mean they where Death-Eaters?" Isabella asked feeling the bottom fall out of her stomach.

"No!! I said they where good people."

"Oh, I thought th......"

"I know what you thought." he cut her off.

"So you didn't know about me?" asked Isabella.

"No, thanks to him," Snape jerked his head in Harry's direction. "I've been in Azkaban for 20 years."

"You're wrong, you know," came Harry's voice. "You are there because of your actions you have no one to blame but yourself."

"Hah, whatever helps you sleep at night, I'm here because you and Longbottom didn't have the backbone to kill me when you had the chance."

"Now why would I give you want you want?"

"That is beside the point," injected Isabella. "I have one more question."

"What is it?" Snape asked his eyes softening as he looked at her.

"Why, why did you kill Dumbledore?"

"Because I was told to."

He then looked Harry dead in the eye and said, "How do you know it was not important for him to die, So that you had the anger to kill the Dark Lord?"

"You can't possibly think that you tried to help me," Harry spat angrily. "I already had enough anger; Voldemort killed my parents. You know I would have killed you when you were lying there helpless, but it was the thought of ending up like you that stopped me. As far as I'm concerned you are already dead."

"Aren't you sorry at all?" asked Isabella softly.

"No, why should I be? I did as I was told. If the Dark Lord was in power I would be his most favoured and your family would live. It's wonder beyond your imagination, and the famous Harry Potter would be dead!"

"Yes, but Voldemort is dead and you will go back to Azkaban and die alone," said Harry. "I think its time we left, Isabella."

"Yes, Sirius will be worried."

"Sirius? Sirius who?" asked Snape.

"Potter, my son," replied Harry.

"My boyfriend," added Isabella.

Remus was worried he hadn't heard a sound from the room until now. There was anger yelling come from the room now. Just as he put his hand on the handle to open the door it was opened from the other side. Isabella and Harry emerged from the room. Remus got a quick look in the room and saw it was Snape who was yelling. To top it off Harry was grinning and Isabella looked fine.

"What happened in there?" he asked Harry.

"I'll tell you later, I want to get these kids home then I need a strong drink. That was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do."

"Right let's get them home."

Lily sat in a comfy chair near the fire looking at her flower, it was so pretty. Over the last few days Lily had studied the flower. As far as she could tell it was the only one in existence. It closed every night and in the morning there would be dew on the petals. The smell was amazing and the petals felt so real. As far as Lily could determine it was a real Lily. With the exception that it needs no water or the rest of the plant for that matter to live, but it did just that, live.

Lily looked up to see her mother look in the room shake her head and walk pass. Knowing that her mother was worried about her Dad, Isabella & Sirius she said nothing.

There was no warning at all as the fire place just turned green, Lily jumped so high that she landed on the floor. The unfortunate thing was that where she land was exactly where her flower had fallen just before. As Isabella emerged form the flames closely followed by Sirius, Lily noticed she was on the floor. She started to get up and noticed the lily with it petals now crush and one only just hanging on.

Lily burst in to tears. What was she to do now?

"Lily what's wrong?" cried Isabella which caused Ginny to run into the room.

"Lily what is it?" Ginny asked.

Without words Lily held out the flower.

"Oh no." said Ginny and Isabella in unison.

Not wanting to look at the poor flower that had been perfect not 3 minutes before Lily threw it on the floor and ran to her room.

"Should I go after her?" asked Isabella.

"No, she needs to be alone," said Ginny. "Where's your father?" she asked looking at Sirius.

"Talking to the Minister."

"Oh," Ginny then looked at Isabella. "Did you get the answers you wanted dear?"

"Yes, I found out my parents weren't Death Eaters, my Father went to school in the U.S.A, and then the man I saw today was, and still is, the monster everyone think he is."

"Right," said Ginny not knowing what else to say, "Dinner is in the kitchen. Help yourselves."
