Good Day Everyone,

I'm sorry to say that CoS Forums is going to shut down in the Summer, sometime around July. This isn't an early April Fools joke either.

The Forums have become quite expensive to run and manage. There's a lot (LOT) less traffic coming to the site these days as Harry Potter becomes less of a topical debate for people.

I held on for a while after the last film, wondering whether JK would announce anything surprising, but I find that even if she did it wouldn't serve to help the diminishing numbers on the site or my bank balance!

Myself, I've been absent a lot more in the past year as personal issues have taken over and I've had to work longer hours, to earn more money to keep the forums going as well as pay for things like rent, utilities and god knows what else.

Some of you will be sad and I'm sure others will be happy. I'm not doing this lightly and I could have closed the site last year but held off. I know this may upset some of you who've come to see this place as a haven with friends and I'm very sorry it has to go but I've kept this place going with money out of my own pocket for 10 years now and it's no longer financially viable to do so. Please understand that this is not an easy decision!

Some of you may wish to offer to help, to donate or even take on the site. Whilst I would listen to any suggestions, I will not accept donations as this would be unsustainable in the long-term. If you wanted to take on CoS, be aware that you would need to find $200 per month and to be honest with you all I'm not sure I'm prepared to let the site be taken over by anyone. I've created a thread for comments. The other staff know only as much as the above. There is no Plan B as far as they are concerned, so do not pester them for answers to questions. If they do not know, they are being totally honest.

Many thanks to everyone who for the last 10+ years have worked in one way or another on the site. All the staff, past and present who gave their time and energy to making the community work. Every single person gave their time for free and were never paid for their efforts. It was a labor of love for all.
Many thanks to the members, those who came & went and dared to stay. Every single one of you who contributed to the site, to the discussions and events. You were the ones who made the site what it became, from the all the book releases to the heated, sometimes famous debates about all sorts of topics. You made CoS what it was. So thank you.

Well my first kiss was at the age of seven with the older brother of my best friend(his name was Alexander, he was 8). We decided that it would be cool to be a "couple" so I could marry into my best friends family one day....hahaahha I still have the letters we wrote each other

More "realtionships" followed...hahaha they didn't really count because we were all children. I married a couple of boys in various summer camps and of course you had to kiss them then.

My first meaningful kiss was 5.12.2009 at the age of 18....quite late. Before it was just childrens relationships.
Since that kiss the boy and me are a couple....for eighteen months now

I was nineteen, and very shy about the whole thing. I remember going over the whole ordeal in my head before hand wondering how I was supposed to ask for a kiss or should I just kiss her or not?

Anyways, we went to the movies that night and I stuttered out "Can I kiss you?" she said of course and there u have it

I was 14, and my boyfriend at the time -he was my first boyfriend- just leaned over and did it. He was so nervous, his palms were so sweaty! ICK! Hahaha, we used to joke about it all of the time. Gosh I really loved him, oh well. Life goes on :-)

In terms of childish kiss, maybe about 8 or 9. We didn't even like each other. We just saw adults kissing a lot and decided to see what the fuss was about. It was just a peck and we instantly pulled away.

With regard to a real adult kiss, I haven't yet. I'm 3 weeks from being 17 too. It comforts me to know I'm not the only one. I'd rather it be with someone I like as opposed to a random guy so I can get it over with, as it were.

I had a very childish kiss when i was 6 years old with this girl from kindergarden.....
I still remember it, because everyone made fun of me later bcos i kissed a girl

But "adult" kiss i had when i was 15 with a "girlfriend" ... looking back to that i can say it was perhaps childish as well....

I honestly can't remember how old I was for my first childhood kiss, it was a repeated offense during recess in preschool so I was really young. Maybe 5 years old. Progressed from cheeks to lip pecks but stopped there. I was 5 after all.

My first real kiss wasn't until I was 16. Rather late but looking back on that a few years down the road it really doesn't matter anymore how early or late in my life that it happened.

19 years old. And he wasn’t my boyfriend and not even a boy that I liked him. I went out with him because we had arranged to go out with my sister, my sister's boyfriend, his friend, and me. And the kiss was practically stolen from me.
