Do you like your name?

My name is Maren, and I really like it. It's not so common (6103 persons named Maren in Norway, with about 4,7 millions inhabitans), and it means "from the sea", which suits me really well. (Just look at my signature... ) It's only a few years since I started liking my name, I hated it before. And with my last name (we are 11 people with this as a last name in Norway), I have a very unique name!

Well, my full name is Alexandra, and I don't really like it. Through primary school every one called me Alex, and once I hit high school, I went by Ally. And I still do to this day. Although sometimes by boyfriend calls me Al.

I guess my name's okay. My full name is Kathryn but I think that sounds kind of old-lady-ish (no offense to anyone!), so I go by Kate. I know about 12 Katies, so it can get confusing, but I took off a syllable, so THERE!

My name is Kate too! It's a pretty good name, and I like it, but it's rather...well, boring, quite frankly. I wish I had a name that meant something or was unusual or interesting or had a namesake or something! The only interesting thing about my name is that it's not short for anything, like Katherine or Caitlyn - just Kate. Which is kind of cool, but also makes it kind of more boring...

Yeah, it is pronounced like Sadie, it's just my parents spells it differently.

That is pretty cool. I like names that are spelled differently from how people expect they would be.

I have a friend named Tabata, and everyone thinks that her name is Tabatha and that someone is just saying it wrong. It's a pretty cool name, though.

I like the shortened part of my name Rich(ard). I was going to be named Andrew, but I prefer Rich over something like Drew...though I don't mind Andy.

I think my names great! However, I hurt my mother when I told her I wanted to make it longer. I have always had a long name, but I wanted to make it longer by changing the spellings.

My name is Kelly-Mae Leanne Tracey ......... (won't give you my last name) and I wanted to change this by being 'Kellie-Mae Lea Anna Tracey', which I actually wrote over my school books. My mother wasn't happy with me, but she let me get away with it.

My name also has a good history to why it is the way it is, and that's why I adore my name. It's also strangely unique, however, I am always confused with either Callie or Kerry or even Ellie!
