Hey I'm the same way! (The liking first name but not second name part) People always make Tom Cruise jokes. Yeah, I get it, I've got the same name as a famous person, get over it! Not like either Kate or Holmes are particularly uncommon! I mean, being asked how Tom Cruise is is funny the first time, but not the millionth.

Ha...having the same name as someone else can suck. I was flipping channels the other day and there was this special on a serial killer with the exact same name as me. *gasp* Hopefully no one watches that channel...lol. I might have to start using my middle name!

I like my name . It's kind of common, but there are multiple spellings for it, and I haven't met many people who spell it the same way I do.

I used to absolutely hate my name, but it sunk in once I started saying my first and middle name together.
Kathryn Clare. I usually go by Katie, but I love my full name because it's very formal.

I like my name, actually. There's something about 'Christina' that sounds kind of..royal? Like a queen or a princess? I don't know. I think it sounds mature but fun at the same time.

My first name is the best. Ryan, people can pronounce in right, and it just sounds cool. My middle name is Joseph, which is okay, I guess. Many people have that as their middle name.

I despise my last name, so I usually go by the pseudonym "Venault" online and such because it is very far from my regular last name and I like the letter "v" (Vonnegut is great). Also, my original last name is from my Grandpa, who was adopted, so it's not some family name for generations.

I love my name. Samantha, but I just go by Sam, it's very me. Though there are a few people who call me Samantha, and one that calls me Cham.

I always pick on my mom though because I am the oldest of my sibling, and yet the only kid without a family name.....

I hate my first name, so I use my middle name. My mother named me after the first person who walked in the room after I was born. She was a nurse named "Verna" Guess it could have been worse, though. I don't know where she got my middle name, Marie, from. Guess she just picked it out of the air. I named my daughters sensible names: Leslie Marie and Michelle Ann.

Agreed with some of the above posts. I love my first name (Kathleen) but I hate my second name (Amanda). No offense to all the Amanda's out there, but I despise it. >.< I love my last name too, aha, but I'd prefer to have my mum's, not my dad's. It's more British and pretty.

I like my mom's surname much better than my dad's, mainly because my dad's is kind of boring, but also because I hate having the same name as a celebrity [>.<], but my surname sounds good coming after Kate and after Kate Brenna, which cannot be said for my mom's surname.

I only like my first name if someone pairs it with my middle name. My first name is Sarah, and I hate it, but when someone calls me Sarah Marie I think it's much prettier. My last name is just the epitome of Italian, but I don't mind it or anything.. when I was in school, my teachers would always call me by my last name (Tomasino), and I liked that.
