Love that series, i got it 2 xmas ago and i couldnt put them down i cried at the end it was so sad and i normally dont cry, cause im a MAN, the only other time i cried was when DD died. I hate u authors makeng lyra and Will leave each other, how cool are the polar bears.

this movie seems amazing, i cant wait till it comes out but ive heard that the war against god is being taken it because it heratical.

I wonder if anyone can answer a question about the origins of Dust? Angels are made of Dust, aren't they? And Angels were around from the beginning of the world. But nearly all the Dust came into the world when Eve was tempted by the snake and humans became conscious of themselves. And after that, Dust was both generated by humans, and attracted to humans, and still falling out of the sky?

Ok, count me in on the bandwagon, guys! I'm halfway through Northern Lights/Golden Compass, and I love it! I'm super picky about the fantasy I read because so much of it is just the same ol' tired takes on Tolkien's world (the elves, dwarves, and such) that totally lack his eminent style and imagination, but this is seriously well-written and has a great story. I cannot WAIT for the movie!!! I guess there's been a big flap about Nicole Kidman's hair, but I think she's a great choice. She's got style and grace, but she gets that dangerous look in her eye that lets you know something's afoot. OMG, and Daniel Craig - awesome!

I don't see how that can do that if they're going also going to make The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass.
People who find it heretical and offensive aren't being forced to see it.

I love those books! I read them a while ago, and they are some of my favorites books. I haven't read them in a while now, so I think I am going to re-read them soon

I can't wait for the movie! I am so excited!

Dust is matter that is attracted to conciousness. I think it might BE conciousness. I think Grummen explaines it to lee scoresby in the subtle knife. he explains it to someone.

the problem is they wont even try to see it. they will just say that it is poisoning the worlds youth by calling god evil and a tyrant. It is the same problem as with HP.
