Questions about the Harry Potter Movies

In PoA, Hermione said after she hit Malfoy, "that was good." Or at least that's what I thought I heard. Only, Ron said, "not good? that was brillant!." this never made sense to me. No matter how many times I watch the movie, I never figured out why Ron would tell her that it wasn't good.
Also, in GoF, during the underwater scene, what was the black strap around Harry's leg? I didn't notice it on any of the other champions.
How was Krum under the Imperious curse when he was in the maze? If he was under the curse before they went in, why didn't Dumbledore notice?

What Ron is saying there is that good is not good enough to describe what Hermione did. Brilliant is a much better term.

This is a good idea. I always thought the opposite, that he was looking to see if the Weasley's were coming. I think i like your idea better.

Harry has his wand tied to his leg. I am not sure what the other champions did with their wands, but that is what the black strap is on Harry's leg.

In the book, i think Krum was cursed after he enter the maze by Moody who was guarding the edge of the maze and saw him go by and used the imperious curse on him. It isn't stated in the film, but i guess it is the same.

I believe Cedric had one on his leg too. But already had his wand out when he approached Cho in the water.

I think you are right now that you mention it. I haven't watched GoF yet in my movie marathon and i am running out of time here. I have been sick so there is some excuse.

I always thought it was to give him a grand entrance, and to show how athletic he was, because his introduction as Hufflepuff Quiddich Captain was left out of PoA.
It also gave a chance for his appeal to girls to be shown by the look of admiration shared by Ginny and Hermione when he jumped down.

I don't recall Krum or Fleur having wand holders on their legs. I don't recall Krum with his wand at all under the water.

Okay, something I've been wondering ever since GoF came out

Who on Earth is that Nigel kid supposed to be?
Have I overread that character the approximately thousand times that I read the books?

In OotP, for example, the kid gets more appereance/lines than Draco Malfoy. What good does it do to just invent a new character, additionally to the huge casr that there already is? Why not just give someone more important and actually existing a little more time in the spotlight?
I mean, he's a cute character and everything, but I just don't get the whole purpose.

If he was the small kid who was bullied by Umbridge, then that IMO is the purpose of putting him in. To emphasize Umbridge's harshness and give the twins the final push into rebellion.

If that is not who you are referring to - then I don't know. I don't recall any other appearance/lines.

Nigel seems to take the place in the movies that the Creeveys have in the books. I have long wondered why they removed Colin and put in Nigel: maybe the actor did not want to keep playing Colin and they did not want to try to re-cast a character who had already been named.

I think Snape just does the shield charm (protego). Or are you talking about when he's healing Malfoy in the bathroom, because I think that's just a healing charm.

I don't know what Dumbledore says though.

I just watched GOF again and I was wondering if anyone knows what they used to make Madame Maxime tall? Was she on stilts or those tall things contractors use to dry wall ceilings or was it just camera work?

And does anyone know why they didn't make her large like Hagrid and just tall instead?

And as long as I'm throwing all my GOF questions out there, what was the point of having her pick a piece of lice or something out of Hagrid's beard and eat it? Was that supposed to be sexy somehow? Because I found it anything but sexy; it turns my stomach every time.

Actually, I found it funny. Awkward, but funny It showed the tension between them. I can't answer your other questions about which technology they used. If it is possible you should "owl" Heyman or some other from the crew?
