Questions about the Harry Potter Movies

I doubt this is intended to be Voldemort. It is possible, of course, that the filmmakers used the model from SS/PS and their vision of Voldemort, but I do not know why they would include him in PoA.

Instead, I think this is a portrait of a vampire. He appears to have "waxy white skin," which identifies vampires (PoA, Ch. 3). In addition to his black robe/cloak, we can see white cuffs and a white collar, which do not suit Voldemort and compose a fairly common attire given to traditional vampires by Muggles.

Yeah that cant be Voldy. It most likely is a vampire because of the Nosferatu look he's rocking in that there portrait.

In the movie, it seems to be a "taking you with me" type idea, as Harry stabs the diary with the fang he pulls out of his arm while Riddle is gloating about the power of basilisk venom. In the book, he was healed before stabbing the diary, and it was made out to be instinctive, as Harry grabs the fang off the floor "without thinking, without considering, as though he had meant to do it all along."

I have a question about the new footage from the Deathly Hallows...

Is the dragon in the new footage from that part in the book that is displayed on the top of this websites form? I forgot.

Also, what is the scene with the train? I don't remember that from the book either or Harry in a dinner fighting some guy? I just want to be re-capped before the movie opens and re-reading the book is not my idea of a quick recap.

The top of this site is from them in the vault and all the gold multiplying and them flying out. The dragon is from the same scene where they use him to get away.

The train is just showing [we think] death eaters coming and taking people away [i.e Luna]. We only hear about this in the book but were assuming it will actually show it in the movie.

The diner part is right when they first apparate from the wedding. They end up in some muggle village and go to a diner where death eaters are waiting for them so they stun them and such.

Right, I knew the dragon played a part in that scene somewhere just was not sure of the details since I read the book only once back in 2007. Thanx.


Oh yea, ok that jogs my memory a bit. I was wondering if the diner scene was after the wedding attack/ambush. Ok, so the train thing was just one of those cinematic moments gotcha

That muggle village was Tottenham Court Road in London.

November 17th 2010 for Part 1
And
July 15th 2011 for Part 2.

Feel free to correct me if I am wrong, but these are the dates I read. I am not sure about Part 2's date as the 15th is a Friday and they are usually released on a Wednesday, so I won't be surprised if it changes to the 13th

Hi all

I am new here so please forgive me if I'm doing something wrong. I don't think this has been discussed as I did do a quick search....

I was wondering if anyone knows who is playing Lily Evans (not "Potter") in DH? I don't think it's Susie Shinner as I have her on my myspace account and she has not said anything about being recast.

I have written to Fiona Weir a couple of times (once before DH was being filmed and once when it had just started) asking if I could audition for the role but I received no reply to indicate it had already been cast (which is unusual because usually she will reply and tell you "sorry but the role is already cast but thank you blablabla"). I assume her part has been cast now but there have been no announcements and I really want to know who's playing her :P She's my favourite character so I really hope those scenes are great.

I would think that they'd bring in Susie Shinner. That way they could use Snape's Worst Memory that was filmed for OotP but not used. Shinner may have signed a contract not to blab about it on her myspace page, or could have just stopped using it

I think that you didn't get a reply shows that either the role was cast or that the role wasn't in the film...
