What Annoyed You Most About GoF? v2

the thing that bothered me the most was it was as if the movie was being rushed. they cut out a lot, but i guess if they didnt the movies would be 4/5 hour movies lol. but i think they should have made the graveyard scene longer. also, the commentaries for quidditch was really funny, but they cut those really short..

I read the book, and in the book, Fleur was dispensed with quickly in all three tasks and it didn't make sense as to why she was even there or was good enough to participate.

She performed one of the best in the first tasks, the only thing that happened was her skirt caught on fire and she was quick to correct it. Fleur just got gipped because of plot reasons, someone had to fail the second and to emphasize KrumxHermione and ChoxCedric, Cedric or Krum couldn't. As for the third task, that really wasn't her fault as Krum controlled by Moody stunned her, not a question of her skill.

I didn't like how they focused so much on Ron and Hermione's relationship, and less on the mystery of who put Harry's name in the Goblet.

I wouldn't consider fourth out of four* to be very good, but maybe that's just me.

*We know what Krum got and Cedric going from last to tied for first in one event makes no sense.

From what I can recall, she scored dead last in the first task. Anyway, my point wasn't really how well or poorly she performed, just that her abilities in the movie and the book was practically the same. Criticize the film, then criticize the book as well.

The scene with Beaubaxtons and Durmstrag coming was so rushed. And I think the beginning was way to stupid and weird.

This film is the reason I started reading the books... I left the theater with my friend thinking there has got to be more to it than this... One of the things that I thought should have been in the movie was when Harry and Molly Weasley had their "mother/son" moment in the hospital when she "put her arms around Harry. He had no memory of ever being hugged like this, as though by a mother."

I would have liked to see more of the Quiddich World Cup. I mean, they only put like, 30 seconds, and those were with Fudge opening the match. I would have liked to see more action and the teams fighting for the Cup.

I also thought Katie was good as Cho. When I saw her after the auditions I thought they had chosen the wrong girl, but she proved me wrong. As for the lack of Ginny, strangely I found it refreshing, but they will have to definitely feature her as a prominent character in OOTP after what has happened in HBP.

I personally thought this movie was a lot better than PoA. What bothered me was the lack of "Hogwarts" time and the fact that everything felt rushed. They also didnt metion anything about Nevilles family and where his parents are or what happened to them. Another big thing was they left out how Crouch Jr escaped!

I think what really bugged me though (as if the above wasnt enough) was the fact that the film did not show how Fudge acted. That is so critical because that is what OotP is centered around and the movie didnt even touch on it! I wonder how they will rectify that for the next movie.

Hmmmmm... I think my least favorite part in the movie was the sheer... uhhhhh... strangness of Fred and George. I don't think that they behaved as they would have in any of the other movies. I also didn't like the fact that Harry and Ron's hair grew longer just to show their age. Most people don't do that! Also, the Sirius scene where he was in the fire kind of upset me because his face really wasn't there -- it was basically a bunch of smoldering ash to look like his face. That's what I didn't like.

The last thing this movie needed was more action. The Quiddich World Cup had two purposes. One, to establish that there are Death Eaters who are fighting for Voldemorts return and two, to establish that BCJR sent up the Dark Mark. (I know you don't know his name yet, but still)

I personally think that GOF was a very good movie. After the 1st time i saw it, i went back 2 more times

I also think that it could of been much more true to the book. Voldemort could have been scarier, but, that scene was one of the best in the movie, as it should have been. I also missed s.p.e.w., as it does carry on into the next book. And what happened to Ludo Bagman? and Winky? and Dobby? although there are house elves in the movie, (on the back of a camel in the part right after Ginny says "look!") this really lessened the movie than what it could be.

Besides, who cares if the movie is four hours long? true fans would sit through the whole movie on the edge of there seats, whatching and comparing it to the book in there minds. i mean, we could sit through Gone With The Wind, couldn't we?

I liked the movie, but I did think it was very rushed and choppy. I understand that they did it for time purposes but I was still annoyed by it.

I was very upset they didn't put in the whole Barty-crouch-jr.-is-"dead"-winky-knows-bagman-death-eater thing. Also, I LOVE how in GoF Jo works in that Rita Skeeter is an Animagus-that was hilarious! I wonder how they're going to work in the Quibbler article, how they get Rita to write it respectively...

Although i loved the dance scense and everything leading up to it i do think they had too much of that and left out the real story. they could have added so much more that would have been following the book if they had cut down on the ball scenes.
