Re: Muse

I have all of Blind Guardian's releases and I honestly can see diversity in their works. Unlike bands like Iron Maiden, who, although I respect, have never changed their style through the years. However, I am not comparing them with Muse. The mention of diversity reminded me of their latest album, so I mentioned it.

Muse is a decent band, no denying that. But like I said before, they have done absolutely nothing for me.

Re: Muse

Good news for Australian fans not living in Sydney or Melbourne, or those who missed out on tickets for their shows, Muse are definently playing at 2007 Big Day Out. They were confirmed, then unconfirmed and now they are comitted to BDO! Anybody who saw them at BDO 2004 knows how great this is !!! Cant wait.

Haha EmptySpiral, I heart your signature too

Re: Muse

OK, you guys have convinced me, sort of. I will give Muse another try, seeing as they, along with Radiohead, are among some of the better bands around today.

Actually, its not so much getting into them as finding them interesting. I have never been able to dislike any good Rock/Metal band yet, except for Pantera (just can't get into them).

Re: Muse

Muse are excellent. I'm gonna see them at Glasgow next month. Their Absolution DVD at Glastonbury is simply outstanding; they really could be the best live band ever. Matt Bellamy puts on such a great performance and is a great frontman. I hope they play Knights of Cydonia, I don't think anything could beat that song live.

Couldnt agree more, though Hysteria is a great song to see played live too.

That's a great picture of Matt EmptySpiral. He has such a lovely smile. Though I did do a double take of attire. Blue flower bracelet.....nice.

I love Matt - even his dreadful fashion faux pas. And he makes fun of Dom for wearing yellow trousers... He really needs to look at his own wardrobe.

Starlight has really grown on me. It's a lovely song, full of contentment and joy. Sort of like Bliss, but you can take that song to be quite negative. "Everything about you is how I'd want to be." Can go either way really.

Re: Muse

Just got back from their gig at Glasgow.

Best thing in my LIFE. I will never see another gig as good as this. All of my favourite songs, excellent stage presence by all three members, no annoying pyrotechnics, even the strobe lighting wasn't annoying.

And Knights of Cydonia live. Best thing I have ever saw in my entire life.

Liete_Turin - I'm sad. It sounds absolutely bloody amazing. and it just makes it worse that I won't get to see them live untill next time they tour.

Aww

But they do seem to tour frequently after they put out a new album, so they probably will tour again within the next year. I'd definetly recommend go seeing them, I know I will. And I'll take a camera this time! That is one piece of equipment you NEED to take to their shows. Just to show it to people and say "I was there!". Their shows are almost surreal, but so amazing.

Good idea. At the last Muse gig I was at we werent allowed cameras and the first one I didn't have a good camera (this is before the days where almost everybody had a digital camera) but I will certainly be taking one to Big Day Out!

Its an experience you wont forget easily...
Just out of curiosity, people who have seen Muse recently, have the support acts been any good?
