I think we all do but it's pretty clear that, sadly, she won't

Go into a state of depression, become a recluse in your basement, read the entire series every week, and watch one of the movies everyday.

Read other books... I'll be sad when the series is finally over though...

Will you lose interest?
Do you think people will loose interest after the last book is released?
I think that the interest may be there at least till the last movie is release I know people will now say that they are potter fans and they will never stop discussing the books

Re: Will youlose interest?
I will probably lose interest if the franchise is left alone. Also, it would help if the trio did more movies.

It really wont be the same with all the books out; no more theorizing, speculaton or waiting up at midnight for your copy of the next book

Re: Will you lose interest?
I will miss the books but I am for sure going to read the Harry Potter series to my children when I have them.

Re: Will you lose interest?
No not really as Jo has already stated that there are things that will not be covered in the books regaurding minor characters. At the moment there a huge number of questions regaurding Albus though that I would to be answered but feel some might never be given an answer to.

Re: Will youlose interest?
I will never lose interest. I will hope and wait for either Book Eight, another Comic Relief fundraiser, info on the minor characters (As JKR said she would love to make), etc. Rest assured, just because the Seventh book will come out, does not mean we are done with Harry Potter or JKR. She isn't done writing and her new projects should be interesting.

Re: Will you lose interest?
Nooo, Harry Potter will always be in my heart. I will pass it on to the next generation, it will stay alive! lol! But after book 7 there are still 3movies or something, so we can look out for that!

Re: Will you lose interest?
Of course we will lose interest.
It's normal after all if there is no more books and no more news. A fan needs to be fed. ![]() That not means we will be not fan anymore, but.........well, there is a lot of other things to read, to watch and to discover. Last edited by castel; May 25th, 2006 at 12:36 pm. |

Re: Will you lose interest?
After some time (several years, probably), my interest will lessen, but I don't think I will ever lose it entirely. I think I will always re-read the books with pleasure.
This kind of threads makes me depressed. ![]() |

I don't think I'll ever lose interest! It will probably lessen after a while, but I'll always enjoy re-reading the books and watching the movies.

Re: Will you lose interest?
I started reading the works of Professor J R R Tolkien in 1963. My interest (some would say obsession) has not diminished. Through taking part in several Tolkien-based message board sites, it has increased and continues to grow. I expect to be listening to my audio tapes of the BBC's version of Lord of The Rings long after I can't read when my eye-sight has failed in old age.
I realise that J K Rowling cannot be compared to Tolkien, but her books have caught my imagination. Apart from Tolkien, her books are the only ones I have used the internet to discuss. I can't imagine losing interest in Harry Potter in the time that is granted to me. .

Re: Will you lose interest?
I think I will always love the books, even when I know the outcome, but yes, I'm sure I will lose interest as time goes on. If you don't have food to fuel your passion, it will inevitably wane.
I will always keep an eye open for books and things brought out by JKR though.

The full weight of everything he had seen that night seemed to fall in upon him as Mrs Weasley held him to her. His mother's face, his father's voice, the sight of Cedric, dead on the ground, all started spinning in his head until he could hardly bear it, until he was screwing up his face against the howl of misery fighting to get out of him
