What will we do when the HP Series is over? v2

I'll re-read the books lots of times, and probably discuss what's happened.

I shall cry. I shall feel desolate. I will definately definately be disappointed with the ending and I'll just wish that for a second our world could be half as magical as theirs. That for a fleeting moment everything might matter and anything could be possible.

Then I'll reread and so on and I really don't know. I've been so used to growing up with Harry whether or not Voldemort has gone I'll need him around because he's like a friend who's always been there. And the rest of them. I suppose I can still wait until the 7th film is released. Then it really is over isn't it.

Honestly....I will probably cry because such a wonderful series, and something that has been such a big / fun part of my life will have ended. I undoubtedly will re-read the series over and over. I hope to still participate on the forums and in discussions, and I might even venture into Fan Fiction territory, which is something I've always stayed very far away from and never really had interest in. Shoot, I might even have to start writing one myself after the series is over, that way I have a complete canon to work with.

for me the magic started in the books and will always be there. i will be sad and probably savor the last book more than the others...but i think be rereading them it will be like they are still alive. sure i'll miss the excitment of going to the midnight parties or the couting down the days...but i will carry on the magic in my heart where harry first touched me.

Reread, of course! The books aren't about to disappear...it will be sad to know what is to come while rereading, but I will always love HP, no matter what.

I might end up crying for an hour per day for a week. It'll be so hard to believe that I'll never be able to wonder what will happen in the next book, or that I'll never search the internet for information on the next HP book. I will certainly give the books to my children, and hope that the next generation will be inspired just like we were...I know that there will always be remakes of the books and movies, like with other classics. I'm hoping that Rowling will make another series or two, and I will certainly read them.

Hopefully by the time the 7th movie is out and done, I'll have a nice job, maybe a girlfriend/fiancee/wife, so I'll probably be fairly occupied with "normal life".

Weep coupously, then compulsovly reread and reread and reread and reread...i would read other things as well...but I won't ever give up Harry...not even Jo could stop me!

I woulod have to rethink my free time, so i mihgt have to go shopping for a life outside of Harry...maybe

As I'm also reading A Song of Ice and Fire by George R R Martin, which has 2 books to go (at least) in the series, I will still spend my days waiting for writers to get the finger out and finish their stories.

I was sooo angry that it took him 5 years plus 1 year for the paperback! When I finally got Feast for Crows I had forgotten everything! That's really not a way to write a series

Ok, back to HP:
I hope we'll still have room for theorising after book 7. Fanfiction. Read it to our children. Make them wait till next christmas for the last book Share their anticipation.
I think I'll just hide the books somewere, try to forget all about HP and reread them again in 10 years.

i carn't even bare thinking about it, it's too sad. I will propbably cry for a while when the last book comes out but the films will carry on a few years after. When the films end then I will be well and truly lost.

gahhh it's going to be really sad. of course i'll still read the books and watch the movies etc., but it'll be really sad not to be waiting for another book...i've been a fan since kindergarten and it's kind of hard to let something like that go. not that i dont read other books or have a life and stuff, its just yeah. but then again, they're still forums and stuff on LOTR books, so why wouldnt the HP ones keep going?

actually, im glad in a way that JKR is going to stop at seven. It'll come to the point(if she writes a bunch of prequels) where the magic and mystery of the series would just be killed. i wouldnt object to a few short story/flashback type things though

Same thing I do now. . .

Read the books over and over and over again,
Watch the films over and over and over again,
Read/participate in Harry Potter forums like COS (assuming they still exist)
Read all the Harry Potter fanfiction I can find (I'm saving all the good ones)
Write some of my own Harry Potter fanfiction

What I won't be doing is giving this up for a bad job. It is my little escape from reality and how I unwind at the end of a long day.

I will probably spend less time online with H the Harry Potter forums and will just move on. Things come and go, but I will miss the excitement of speculation. I will still read fanfiction and the actual books.

how about doing a riot and persuade JKR to write more books? Lets do it. just find her address and make her do it.bcuz im gonna be sooo sad when it ends. ill cry more then i would if harry died. (i want harry to die btw)
but i will keep reading until i have memorized the books and then ill probably write a sequel . lol

When the JP books are finally finished, i'll read them all over again. Try and fill the void a bit!
