Good Day Everyone,

I'm sorry to say that CoS Forums is going to shut down in the Summer, sometime around July. This isn't an early April Fools joke either.

The Forums have become quite expensive to run and manage. There's a lot (LOT) less traffic coming to the site these days as Harry Potter becomes less of a topical debate for people.

I held on for a while after the last film, wondering whether JK would announce anything surprising, but I find that even if she did it wouldn't serve to help the diminishing numbers on the site or my bank balance!

Myself, I've been absent a lot more in the past year as personal issues have taken over and I've had to work longer hours, to earn more money to keep the forums going as well as pay for things like rent, utilities and god knows what else.

Some of you will be sad and I'm sure others will be happy. I'm not doing this lightly and I could have closed the site last year but held off. I know this may upset some of you who've come to see this place as a haven with friends and I'm very sorry it has to go but I've kept this place going with money out of my own pocket for 10 years now and it's no longer financially viable to do so. Please understand that this is not an easy decision!

Some of you may wish to offer to help, to donate or even take on the site. Whilst I would listen to any suggestions, I will not accept donations as this would be unsustainable in the long-term. If you wanted to take on CoS, be aware that you would need to find $200 per month and to be honest with you all I'm not sure I'm prepared to let the site be taken over by anyone. I've created a thread for comments. The other staff know only as much as the above. There is no Plan B as far as they are concerned, so do not pester them for answers to questions. If they do not know, they are being totally honest.

Many thanks to everyone who for the last 10+ years have worked in one way or another on the site. All the staff, past and present who gave their time and energy to making the community work. Every single person gave their time for free and were never paid for their efforts. It was a labor of love for all.
Many thanks to the members, those who came & went and dared to stay. Every single one of you who contributed to the site, to the discussions and events. You were the ones who made the site what it became, from the all the book releases to the heated, sometimes famous debates about all sorts of topics. You made CoS what it was. So thank you.

I'll just go into television shows that I love because there are too many movies to mention.

I live for Lost. I haven't missed an episode since it began. I started watching because of Dominic Monaghan (Charlie) and his Lord of the Rings fame. My favorite character is Sawyer because he's a "complex man" (to quote him). The thing that sticks out most to me about why I like Lost is its flashbacks. Its cool to learn how all the characters started and their connections to one another. The only bad thing about Lost is if you're not faithful watcher you get lost. Its hard to find people to discuss theories with (unlike the HP-universe where readers are everywhere).

I'm also a huge fan of NBC's The Office. I haven't seen the British version so I can't compare the two but I love Steve Carrell's boss. The show is just hilarious in such subtle ways. My sister and I have decided that she's Michael (the idiot boss) and I'm her Dwight (Michael's "assistant").

TV shows: used to be majorly obsessed with the X-Files. Then I got into Dawson's Creek. Lately, TV hasn't really done it for me.

Movies I have been obsessed with: Top Gun (my favorite movie of all time), Moulin Rouge (another one of my favorite movies), Apollo 13, Wimbledon (not sure why I got so into this... maybe it's b/c I want to learn to play tennis), Contact, The Saint, Pearl Harbor

My favorite TV show is Friends. I have seasons 1-10. This next part of information scares people, but I can recite every episode from season 1 to 10 in order. I memorized every episode. It's kind of scary, but I just love Friends, it's a brilliant show

And a movie I am obsessed with is the Breakfast Club. It's such a good movie, and Forrest Gump.

Oh, my. Such a toughie.
My favorite show as of now is probably a tie between good old Spongebob and The Angry Beavers. :]
As for movies...I could go on forever. My favorites are Moulin Rouge, Pride and Predjudice, Underworld, Phantom of the Opera, and POTC 2, Dead Man's Chest. There's so much more, of course, but listing them all would take about a week. ;]

How many days has it been since the plane crash? Is that fat guy still fat cuz I would expect him to be thin by now. I only watched like the first half of the first season and then I got lost. It lost its appeal somehow.

I'm a massive Buffy fan and a Buffy/Angel shipper.

i LOVE the simpsons! i watch them all the time, and i find myself saying " D'oh! " alot, its rather scary actually!

i also watch a bunch of comedies, i'm obsessed with comedies, and funny guys!

i used to be obsessed with phantom of the opera, but now it makes me feel sick when i hear its name.

i love the bluecollar comedie tours, Git 'er done!

I love the show Grounded for Life! It's quite funny! Also the old Laguna Beach, and The Hills are some of my favorites, because I can relate to them easily. Besides hp, I love the movie The Phantom of the Opera!

TV: I absolutely love Friends, and like i heart draco I also have all 10 seasons. Although I am not sure I could recite all of the episode names, but definately many of the lines in the shows. I am also a fan of House, ER, Desperate Housewives, Smallville, Law & Order (all of them), and CSI. I don't always get time to watch these shows, but I love them.

Movies: Hmmm, there are many movies I like. But I guess I will just say the LOTR trilogy, POTC, and basically most superhero movies.

Right now I'm obsessed with Disney movies but I seem feel a Danny Phantom obsession coming on. In the past I've been obsessed with The Office(US), Family Guy, Saturday Night Live, South Park, and plenty of other shows. I'm in an obsession at any given moment it seems like.

Hopelessly addicted to The Office, Deadwood, and Scubs. Recently i've been watching Entourage, but haven't seen any seasons prior to this season. I enjoy it though.

I am obsessed with American Idol. I can't WAIT for next season. 7th Heaven is pretty cool too~its not one of my obsessions, but I enjoy watching it when its on. I also like pretty much every movie that has Mandy Moore in it. She... is... SAWEET!!!
