Harry Potter Video Games

Is it just me or do the Harry Potter video games seem a bit easy? In my opinion they need to be far more intricate and need to include tougher challenges. A little more plot would also enhance the games. I know the games are meant for children but they are really disappointing the older readers and appreciators that still play video games. As pathetic as that sounds, I think something needs to be done. Feel free to share your opinions and beliefs.

I think the ga,mes are just right because I know if they are too hard I'll just set them aside and not complete them, I liked the difficulty of #3 best because it seemed to be a bit harder but number 4 was unbelievibly easy, that game was a major dissapointment to me

hey. yeah i thought the games are easy...
i have the gameboy advanced version... of i think the philosopher's stone... i can like complete the whole game in like a couple of hours if not less than that!

The first two were OK, a bit easy, but they were fun for what they were.

POA I loved. Again it was a bit easy, but I loved the atmosphere and I loved that I was able to roam around the school and school grounds, ride on the Hippogryph's and so on. It was not only a fun game to play, but it felt like I was playing a online gaming/MMOG a bit...but without the other people.

I have GOF but I have yet to play it, but I hear bad things (not as fun as POA)

I thought they were all pretty easy. And they just seem crappy in some ways. Poorly done, maybe rushed...

I think I'd enjoy them more if I were younger. I've only played the ones for gameboy advance and I didn't really care for the first two but POA was pretty cool. I went through it sort of quickly but it had a cool feel to it.

I played the first two Harry Potter games on playstation, terrible graphics but it was fun and challenging in parts.

I have PoA on computer and I love it. Just like Neptune I love the atmosphere, how you can explore and how their are lots of students walking around the school (so it doesn't just feel the trio are the only students). The graphics are also stunning.

I have GoF and it definetly is not as fun as PoA. It's broken into levels and you can't explore the castle at all. The graphics are alright though.

i agree, 4 was unbelievably easy! i completed it wat faster than any other games!!

I got the POA game for summer entertainment for my 10 yr old brother and he finished it the same day. so much for a summer full of easy babysitting.

The HP videogames are pretty pointless. The only one worth playing is CoS.

Chamber of Secrets for the PC is indubitoubly the best Harry Potter game out there. It really has no equal. It has a lot of freedom, which is one of the things that makes it the best of the series.

I think more plot is needed. It would be best to follow the story of another wizard or witch besides Harry & Co., and be able to create whole new plots without worrying too much about the book's story line.

They are also very linear. To have a Harry Potter world version of the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, I would gladly pay upwards of three hundred bucks. People who've played Oblivion will know what I'm talking about!

Or better yet, a Harry Potter MMORPG! (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) (Like Everquest, Asheron's Call, Star Wars Galaxies, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes, Dark Age of Camelot, etc.)

Game 3 was cool. It took me freakin forever to beat that last scene wear the patronu had to cross the lake. I am really not a fan of 4. It wasn't too difficult. I liked the idea that you really got to explore the castle in three. That would have been cool if you could do that in four.

i have them all for gamecube COS is (like everyone else is saying) the best
i liked the fact that you could explore the castle and secret passageways and stuff that made it fun for me i finished all of them in like a day tho they should make OOTP longer

i like the hp games to a point. sometimes they are fun to play because some of the things that you do are interesting but after awhile it can get boring. if i had to choose a favorite it would probably CoS.

I’ve only played SS & CoS on pc but I’ve played PoA & GoF on PS2 & Pc but I totally love PoA the most it is a bit easy after u play it once but its nice just to go and play a mindless game every once in a while u know? GoF I don't like to much its just alright and SS and CoS idk their good.

I really don't like any of the games at all. They are definitely targeted to children. I wish everyone would realize that not all HP fans are children. It actually seems to me that there are more teen and adult fans than children fans. I hear Warner Brothers is planning to target an older audience with the HP merchandise they will release around the time of the OotP movie release, so maybe they'll also make the OotP video game for an older audience as well.

I wished ever since the HP games were out that they would allow the license to be handed to Square Enix, the makers of the Final Fantasy games. Given their attention to detailed plot lines, fantastic graphics and amazing opening sequences I always felt that an RPG Harry Potter game from that company could be simply amazing. Given how the Japanese also love to add heaps of side quests, secret characters and longetivity into their games and make them for ALL AGES, ala FF VII on the Playstation, if they wanted a truly great RPG based in the HP world they could look no further than Square.
Damn, I'm already salivating at the thought of how big and explorable they could make Hogwarts castle and it's grounds be, given their vast villages and dungeons in the final fantasy games. 20 plus hours spent completing those sections alone I'd wager.

i think they're really easy and i hated GOF because you couldnt walk around Hogwarts and do whatever you wanted.
My favourate is POA because i really enjoyed walking around the grounds and inside Hogwarts- i love doing that.
Im hoping OOTP will be alot harder and be able to walk around again.
