I imagine he probably has a genius IQ or something to that effect, and has taken that to mean he is more important than anyone else. Perhaps if someone had come down a bit harder on this kid, assuring him that he was no more important than anyone else and that there were surely smarter people than himself in the world, things would have gone differently. I hate to blame it all on family (or friends, were that insufferable kid to actually have anyway) but seeing as how it is all fictional, I will anyway!
Same here with me... !!

Re: House M.D.

I think it's the negative side of the Matilda Wormwood or Mitch (what was that kid's last name in Real Genius again). If you're supersmart and your parents are idiots who may or may not appreciate you (either because they're vicious or because they just can't reach you on a mental or spiritual level) you have two choices--you can be understanding and try to help them, while stretching yourself--or you can become bitter and superior. This kid took what seemed to him like the easier road.

Fawkesfan--Is there an SVU thread on here somewhere? What did you think of the finale? This is me as the credits rolled

I can't see the Stablers reconciling for a lasting relationship--they're just too different now. I'm secretly hoping that the new baby turns out not to be Elliot's. I'm rather hoping that that executive finds himself charged with obstruction of justice instead of riding off into the sunset--but I really have no idea how they're going to rebuild this mess. I also find it ironic that Munch was the only member of the squad who wasn't targeted even though he has the most colorful history.

Re: House M.D.

Quick question:

There was no episode this week and the finale is next week, correct?

Relax They skipped House this week, and the finale will be on next week. I don't know if you caught it, but a little over two months ago, they announced that there would be 9 new episodes in a row. By the next day they had amended that to 8 new episodes in a row...because they decided to skip one week before the finale. And this week was the skipped week.

Hmm... same here for me... but hey... I didn't get to see all of it. But it was good from what I saw. By the way, did you see the Law and Order: CI season finale? It was good, both the plot line and the story line were well done . I think I made a Law and Order related thread on the forums -- Here's the link to it - http://www.cosforums.com/showthread.php?t=103487 - Law and Order tv show thread .

Re: House M.D.

Thanks Fawkesfan--I'll carry the discussion of all SVU material over there. And for those wondering about the finale--it's this upcoming Tuesday--they pushed it back a week to give "The Lot" the strongest possible lead-in.

I only find a show called "On the Lot" listed in the hour before House's normal one-hour time slot and then, of course, local news afterwards.

Re: House M.D.

I've been obsessing about a new episode since that repeat last week. I'm so excited!

Ah, I knew there must be more House obsessives out there!

There wasn't an episode last week, was there? Only that "On the Lot" Show... Season finale airs in five hours over here in Alaska.

Ah, I'm so excited for House!!! He can be such a jerk, but I love it! It's seriously the only T.V. show I watch anymore. I want to be in diagnostics when I get older, so I really enjoy watching it.

I.....am......speechless. I have no idea what to say. I loved it and I hated it. Are they seriously going to take such a big risk and go as far as
Spoiler: show
replacing the whole team

Any thoughts on today's finale?

Out of the other finale, I thought it was 2nd best. Second season's was the best, and first season was ok. I wasn't so thrilled by the first season one.

Re: House M.D.

rainie_hp - I don't really know if they would do that. There has to be some "better" conclusion to this ending (knowing these writers). I can't believe that would be the solution, it's too easy.

It's really hard to say anything without giving anything away to the rest of the U.S. that hasn't seen it yet. Maybe a bigger discussion tomorrow would be better than tiptoeing around the season finale. I really did like this episode, even though it wasn't as funny as they usually are.

I....I can't believe it. I can't believe it! That was....AH!

Spoiler: show
I actually screamed when Chase got fired, and when Cameron left....and then the episode ended....I almost screamed again!

I hear they're bringing it back in august though. Is that true?

Re: House M.D.

I don't know what to say about this episode. It was really just all over the place and the ending was.... not really an ending. And it didn't seem as if the patient drama was as big as a season finale should be.

I just we have to wait for everyone else to see the episode to really discuss it though...

Agreed! Though I can't point my finger on it, but something about this episode bothered me a little. I didn't know whether it was the change in the writing pattern or maybe because too many different things happened in the episode, or maybe the lack of witty/funny dialogs!
