What is the worst part of wizard society?

In your opinion out of all the bad elements of the wizarding society, such as elf slavery and goverment corruption, which is your least favourite and why?

I think that the wizarding worlds point of view that their automatically better then the magical creatures of their world is horrible and sad. Like the way Amos Diggory treated the house elf in GoF while he interigated Winky. If I were there, like Hermione, I would have been mortified. I mean these people are Ministry officials but their acting like Masters with a badly behaved pet.

It's the fact that some wizards think they are so important that makes them bad. Like the Malfoys, better than everyone else

I think for me is the pure blood nonsense.
Why is it there? i mean why can't they accept non-pureblood?

I hate the way everyone, either subconciously or openly, believes that they are superior to someone else in some way. Muggles are seen as a lower class, as are house elves, centaurs, half bloods and pretty much everyone else. Even Ron, Harry and Hermione are guilty of this sometimes. I really don't like prejudice and superiority, espeically when those showing these characteristics are so quick to deny that they possess them.

The discrimination against just about everything. But, I give kudos to JK about it, cause it's just like our world, only a bit more exagerated.

the wizards attitudes towards muggles......
and definitely the treatment of house elfs
and also certain half breeds are looked down upon(sound pretty much like all the things the malfoys would do)

Arrogance and slavery are connected to each other, but separate issues. Without the wizarding world's supremacist views about themselves, slavery of house elves would not exist in its current form.

There behaviour against muggles. I share there fear that muggles would try to use their powers, but thinks like changing ones memory are just worse. They're not just unfair against other magical creatures. But, as it was already said, that is a mirror to our world.

I think the enslavement of house elves is the worst. House Elves have been presented as very intelligent creatures that are enslaved by wizards and do nothing about it. As much as the characters make fun of SPEW, it is a movement that I would join in a heartbeat.

I have to say the way that they don't progress the same way we do. Some aspects are okay, like using quills instead of pencils and pens, but some are not. Over time, we have realized that slavery is bad, and that not animals have minds, even if they are not intelligent. Sometimes I think that wizards haven't.

That whole pureblood business. I mean, if you can't learn to accept people in your own species then how are you going to learn how to accept centaurs and house-elves and mermaids and werewolves?

I agree with the people who said the pureblood stuff. I'm glad it's there, though, because it gives the Wizarding world a more realistic spin. If everything was hunky-dory and there was no descrimination, it would seem too much like a fantasy world and wouldn't be very effective.

Propbably the fact that they are far less than one percent of the human population and yet they know nothing about muggles and what they use instead of magic. That has always made me feel odd..

The fact they are so similar to Muggles although they are a different world. I mean they have slaves, enmity, hate etc. And still they are so different from the Muggles.

I think it's the discrimination, and prejudiced attitute that certain wizards have against muggles, and wizards who are half-blood or less.
