TMQ102 -- The Drains

Discussion of The Magic Quill #102 -- The Drains by Robbie Fischer.

+++ DOUBLE CHALLENGE +++

SURVEY: On a scale of 1 to 10, how much would you like to hear about each of the following:? (A) The rest of Merlin’s escape from Gringotts. (B) The rest of Spanky’s story about the werewolf he encountered in TMQ #2. (C) How Sadie made and lost each of her fortunes. (D) What happens to Harvey as he lives backward in time.

CONTEST: Briefly describe an historical event or situation that would seem very odd to a present-day wizard.

I'm not sure if the numbers will be correct on a scale of 1 to 10, but they will be correct relative to each other.

I don't know if this is considered a historical event or not, well, here goes:
Any mountain climbers reaching the top of Mount Everest always stick a flag in the snow. Why would anybody do that? What's the big deal when you can get up there on a broom any time you want?

Wizards might find the idea of computers really weird, maybe the characters could go to a public library and have to use muggle technology?

this one is a bit tough, personally i don't really like history but oh well, my guess is that they would find sending the man to the moon weird as why would anyone would want to take so much trouble and money when you can just apprate

Re: TMQ102 -- The Drains

Survey results:

Which character's story do we want to hear the most? With seven people voting, the ranking is as follows:

1 - Harvey, with 31% or an average rating of 8.3
2 - Merlin, with 28% or an average rating of 7.6
3 - Sadie, with 22% or an average rating of 6.8
4 - Spanky, with 19% or an average rating of 5.0

So for the next little while, we (the Quill and I) will try to let Harvey's adventures lead, with Merlin's continuing story sharing the spotlight, and occasional side-trips into Sadie's and Spanky's backstories.

Those of you who voted, take 7.8 points for your house!
