How many times have you read and re-read each book?

wowz..ummm...lets see....i read each of them 7 times..yea..and now im rereading them again..i bet my mom is just about ready to take me to a psychologist .....but those books are seriously addicting as probably evryone on this thread knows

Oh my gosh, I can't even count the number of times I've read even one of the books! I've probably read the first three about 15 times each and the others about 10 times each, so that's about 75 readings total. Don't really know the exact numbers, but can you tell I'm obsessed?

I've only read each about 6 or 7 times. I read them all out of order the first time I ever read them. Then after I read OotP, I read them backwards, PoA, CoS, SS. Then I read them forward again and backward again, and forward again.... Then it was Half-Blood Prince, and backward again and forward again.... I'm reading OotP now. Next it'll be HBP. Again. I really wish I had kept count.

I was asking myself this question some hours ago as I began to reread HBP. It's still under 10 I think, but I listended to the audio books so often that I actually don't know how often I make the round through the whole series.

I have actually never counted, but I know for sure that each book is 20+ (apart form HBP, which is only about 5), because I read the whole series in order, every night until I fall asleep. Obsessed? Me? No!

i've read book 4,5 and 6 alot of times.
ive read book 3 a few times...books 1 and 2 ive read not as much as the rest.
my favorite harry potter moments happen in book 4 and on.
i read harry potter all the time, i'll read one book then read harry, read another book then backto harry. lol

PS: around 12 times
CoS: 11 times
PoA: 13 times
GoF: I'm not sure, I lost count after 15..
OotP: 5 times
HBP: 4 or 5 times, I forget.

LOL!!! I get asked this question so many times! And everyone is always amazed to hear my answer. I have no idea. I've been reading the first book since first grade (I'm in eighth grade now). So at least 30 times each. Except maybe HBP. I know I've read that one at least 20.

You may think I'm lying, but I'm not. I reread books (including non-HP related ones) all the time because I never have time to go to the library and I enjoy reading. The last time I came to school without a book was October of last year and that's because I was running late and I forgot to grab it on the way out. I just LOVE reading. I've already read over 30 books since school started(we have to keep track for reading class).

Oh, and my sister wants to say that she's read all the books once. She started last summer and finished a few months ago.

It seems I'm the only one who can't resist to read the whole series, but never a single book. I mean, if I want to read HBP I have to read SS, CoS, PoA, GoF and OotP before.

I've read 1-5 at least 4/5 times each in the last few years. But I've only read HBP 1.5 times, which is really sad because I should have read it at least 3 times by now.
I love that if I told a non-HP fan I've read the series 5 times they would think I'm crazy, but here that's not even impressive!
It doesn't feel like I've read them that often. It feels like I've only read them once because each time you read them it really almost feels like the first time! You always find something new and enoy it all over again.

I'm the same, I can't just pick up a book and read it, I have to read them in order.
I was keeping track because then I would know how many times I would have to read book 7 to catch it up
However I can't be sure, I think I'm up to reading the series for the 6th time.

I've read the first five books four or five times, four times for the sixth book. And I do skip around a bit, depending on what mood I'm in.

Yeah, same here. Or sometimes I'll read the series, but not in order. I think the last time I read the whole series in order was right after the release of HBP. I read HBP in 1.25 days(so slow!) then PS/SS+CoS+PoA+GoF+OotP+HBP in another month
