SURVEY: Out of Merlin’s companions during his escape from Gringotts – the clowns, the Durmstrang lads, and Rigel – which character should get a “starring role” in the next episode of Merlin’s memories?

CONTEST: Describe an ancient curse and the magic-related object it protects from being stolen.

Survey: I have to say the Durmstrang Lads. They rock.

Ancient Curse: Terrasemper, curses anyone trying to steal a broomstick to have their feet turn into roots planted into the ground.

First of all, I would to congratulate the writers for the thouroughly hilarious installment. I'm so glad I was able to contribute a bit.
I can't make up my mind for the clowns or the Durmstrang lads so either one is fine by me.
Hexes: 1) tempus fugit: protects a magic pocket watch from being stolen. First the watch itself vanishes and if this is not enough deterrent the crook's head starts to become full of a ticking sound that keeps going on and on until the crook goes nuts.
2) dracosortia: protects a magic box from being stolen. If anyone but the owner tries to open the box the box spits fire at him/her.
3) vassourarma: protects a magic broom from being taken. First the broom moves to a horizontal position, then shoots wooden bullets at the crook.
4) geyseritis: protects a magic cauldron from being used. If anyone but the owner tries to use it it will gush forth like "Old Faithful" covering the crook either in boils or a nasty rash or the hair will fall out depending on the mood of the cauldron at the time. A very tempermental cauldron.

Survey: Rigel... PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Contest: hmmmm....

The Perdita Curse: the “unlucky” person who gets it loses his/hers magical powers… it is used to protect an ancient sword that allows its finder (by keeping him/her save through every fight) to reign the world at is/her will… you can be the king of the world, but you will lose your essence.

The Pellitra Curse turns you into stone… if you are ambitious enough to steal a very special golden loot that’s inside a hidden pirate ship; a chest with a kind of currency that can buy life and time… and modifications for either one.

The Splanitium Curse… it blocks your rational thoughts and makes you feel as if you were floating in the space… literally. That will happen if you dare to touch unauthorized an aircraft-ish gadget that can lead you wherever you wanna go.

Even though i would like the Dumstrang students but clowns would be more interesting to watch being supposely funny and all with their toys and jokes.

Humbug curse - protects a scrab tailsman capable of reviving the dead, the curse causes the person to turn into a humming bug and even when he is cured, he would always be hearing a annoying humming sound in his head.

Infelicita Curse - protects a very powerful good luck bracelet ironically this curse causes the bracelet to be transported to a different hiding location and the thief to be cursed with a thousand years of bad luck.

Funicus Curse - protects a magical rope capable of doing anything the owner's mind wills, the curse causes the person to be in knots - literary. Ouch!

Contest: An ancient knife filled with Dark magic is protected by the Benedictus Curse, which forces the unfortunate person who tries to steal the knife to attack their most trusted friend with it.

Survey: The Durmstrang lads

Contest: Curtinious- A charm designed by the Weasley-Wheeze Press. It is a simple projectable illusionment charm. Cast it upon a object that you might prefer to remain hidden. It will remain visible until you mutter the password of your choosing, upon which it will become and ordinary object such as a quill or pocket watch. Say the password again to reveal the true object.

The clowns have a special connection to Il C, so they would follow his appearance naturaly.
The "somnium cogo" curse is put on wealthy wizard's burial vaults. It causes potential grave robbers to fall asleep along side the resident "sleepers". In some cases, this causes the vault to acctually collect more treasure over the years.

First of all, I absolutely loved the story. Excelent work. lol.

Anyway, you asked for an ancient curse, your wish is my command.

It is said that if you go to the very center of stonehenge, then you will meet an unlikely fate. Although it's a little known fact, there is an ancient artifact of magical power buried deep underground in the center of the structure. If you stay in the middle of stonehenge for a period of at least 2 minutes, then the crown of Queen Nefertiti (an ancient egyptian queen) will send a summoning. It will call upon a single Red Cap to follow you home. In exactly four days, you will be found dead. One can't be positive if the Red Cap actually kills you, or if he simply brings you bad luck, but everyone with this fate dies the same. They always die with a loveing, almost lustful look on their face, usually while drowning in a very small amount of liquid; sometimes a puddle or a bowl of milk.

There is no clear winner in this survey. Plus, I was hoping for a more specific answer than "clowns" or "Durmstrang lads." Is there one character who should really shine?
